Inspired by a love of music and a passion for marching, Joe Zishka was determined to join a Drum Corps International group, even learning a new instrument in a short amount of time in order to qualify.

Zishka, a Lancaster High School senior and member of the Band of Gold, achieved his dream, and joined the Madison Scouts in 2021. Based in Wisconsin, the group is one of the most prominent DCI bugle corps active.
