Blue Knights Mourn The Passing Of Hall Of Famer, Marian Newcomer

The Blue Knights family is saddened by the loss of the Blue Knights Hall of Famer and long-time volunteer, Marian Newcomer. She passed away at the Julia Temple Healthcare Center in the loving arms of her devoted daughter, Paula, on Monday, December 13, 2021. Marian was born on May 30. 1929 in Rockford, Illinois to Richard and Mae Johnson. She was the oldest of seven children, three of whom were lost to childhood illnesses early in their lives. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roger Newcomer; Brothers Richard, Dean, Arnold, and Keith; Sister Dawn; and son Peter Armato. She is survived by her daughter Paula Armato; Brother Gary Johnson; Nieces Debbie Fritz and Donna Gronewald; Nephews Brian Johnson, Geoffrey Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Brad Johnson, Scott Johnson, and Chris Volkert.
