Chromium Winds Welcomes New Director

After three years as Chromium Winds’ lead woodwind technician, DaJuan Brooks will be stepping into the role of Director for the upcoming competitive season.

Brooks graduated from Northwestern University with a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance and Music Education. He is currently pursuing a degree in Leadership, Equity, Inclusion, and Organizational Change from Northwestern. While studying music, Brooks performed in the Northwestern Symphonic Wind Ensemble as clarinetist and principal bass clarinet, as well as principal clarinetist of the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra. He received one of the Bienen School of Music’s high honors; The John P. Paynter Fellowship.
