The Academy Welcomes Josh Thye – Corps Director

The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, a world-renowned organization dedicated to fostering excellence in music and the performing arts, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Josh Thye as its new Corps Director, effective immediately.

Mr. Thye brings a wealth of experience and a stellar background in music education, leadership, and community engagement to his new role. He currently serves as the Coordinator of Fine and Performing Arts for the Tempe Union High School District (AZ). With his impressive educational achievements, including a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Arizona, a Master’s degree in Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Master’s degree in Instrumental Conducting from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University, Mr. Thye is well-equipped to lead The Academy to new heights.
