Mandarins Music Academy Honor Band Concert
The Mandarins Music Academy‘s winter Honor Band present a concert on December 3. Comprised of 90+ elementary school students, the band played three selections, including specially-commissioned music titled Peace for Children, composed by Mandarins Brass alum Matt Miller. Matt provides the music as a gift, to be freely played by any ensemble.
Peace for Children was performed by children for children who have suffered injury, trauma, or death from the turmoil and violence occurring in the world.
The honor band was led by guest conductor John Brashier of the TR Svedberg Middle School band program.
