Kevin Hanson 1957-2025

It is with great sadness that the Blue Stars share the news of the passing of Board President Kevin Hanson. Kevin was an invaluable part of the Blue Stars family—an exceptional leader, a dedicated advocate for the organization, and a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kevin’s connection to the Blue Stars spanned nearly five decades. He began his journey with the corps as a baritone member in 1977 and 1978, and continued serving in 1979 as an equipment truck driver. His passion for youth development and the marching arts extended beyond Blue Stars in the early 1980s, when he served as Director of the Royal Knight Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
