Thank you again, Pete.
We lost a very special man on Monday evening — William Edward “Pete” Emmons. Pete came to The Blue Devils in 1988, first as a visual instructor, designer, and then as Corps Manager for 26 seasons, retiring at the end of 2016, but remained active as an advisor and friend for years after.
It is hard to put into words the impact of someone who has touched so many lives. He had a passion for life. A standard of doing the right thing in the most excellent way. Never wanting less. Always living life to the fullest. Pete taught us lessons of adventure. Of wonderment. Of a willingness to take risks to witness the beauty of the world. Pete had an unending thirst to create and explore.
