Blue Knights Winter Brass Heads South

The Blue Knights Winter Brass Ensemble hit the road this past weekend and traveled south to Rampart High School in Colorado Springs. While there they performed at the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association’s color guard competition. We spoke with member Chuck Williams who stated, "The crowd really appreciated the performance and it was a lot of fun showcasing the group in front of people who have never had the opportunity to see us before." Ensemble Director Abe Eng also wanted to make sure we publicly thanked Harvey Pierre for driving the group down in one of the BK buses, "You always feel like everything is going to be OK when Harvey shows up!" said Eng. The next performance of the ensemble will be at the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association Championship on April 1, 2006 at the Denver Coliseum. "We will be performing as a part of the Finals awards ceremonies somewhere around 9:45 P.M." said Eng.
