js52671 Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Brentwood Union Free School District Brentwood HS Green Machine Marching Band Position: Color Guard Instructor Teach and Design Competitive Color Guard Including drill, flags, rifles, sabers Background Experience/Qualifications: Experience with competitive marching band and color guard preferred with the ability to design and teach drill and flag/rifle/saber work. NYS teaching certification preferred. Season: Summer: 5 day camp in late August. Fall: 3 late afternoon rehearsals per week, Saturday morning rehearsals and weekend competitions/events. Compensation: As per district contract, stipends paid for camp and competitive season work plus per diem pay per performance events. Background information: The Green Machine is an award winning competitive marching band on Long Island in NYS. The band is one of the top ranking ensembles in the area and was the Large School 3, 1st place winner in both 2006 and 2007 at the NYS Field Band Conference Championships at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. Now performing in the Large School 2 division, the band placed 2nd at state finals last season.
