  1. Ray: I'm shocked and deeply saddened by Sidemouth's untimely passing. He was one of the all time greats on the soprano and it was always a pleasure to play in the same line as him. Please know that Dot & I send our prayers to Debbie, the Richardson family and the Skyliner family on this tragic loss. Jim 'Guido'Cossetti

  3. Very kind sentiments Chris. I'd like to add that I sat amid a group of Frontier members at the I&E show. I found you to be polite, interested on what was going on AND incredibly enthusiastic. My wife & I both felt as if we had been among friends.......I would have been proud to have young people like you in any of the corps with which I've been involved over the past 43 years. Please keep your involvement fresh and growing. Our continued best wishes to you and the corps. Hope to see you again next year. Jim Cossetti WDCHOF Exec. Secretaryand a bunch of other stuff

  7. ........OK......gotta put in my 2 cents......folks, please understand that Cavalcade is a current work in progress and in planning stage right now. We have many issues already resolved and many more to be discussed, addressed and discovered. I would expect that relevant info will be posted to the Cavalcade of Bands website when resolved. A bunch of questions will be answered in the next week or two and posted. Duke's announcement of purpose explains who and what Cavalcade is envisioned as........at this point. Most staff has been set and we have begun the process of formulating a show, establishing credentials, getting sponsors, securing facilities and equipment, etc., etc., etc. The emails of support for this effort is wonderful to see........it's all about the kids right? It should be and will always be about the kids. So please keep checking the Cavalcade of Bands website and inform any members of Cavalcade member organizations that we are here and, if interested to fill out and submit their interest form. I'm excited to be working with my old, old, old friend Duke Cornwell and Cavalcade and hope to have one of the finest junior corps organizations in the activity. Jim 'Guido' Cossetti
  8. My review of the Coatsville show: I, along with my three euphonium compadres, played pretty frickin' loud.* ......eh, my take on the bass line was that you guys played phat, round and like dark chocolate...........thanks..... Jim C
