Must be raining in ADA. All the pit equipment is covered. I hope this stream gets better fast.
Nice double rainbow, though. Oh man, double rainbow... It's so beautiful (sobbing).

Well, maybe I'll have a different opinion when I see them on the field, moving, but my first thought is just...no.

The one thing I always tell current members of the corps as they launch into a new season is to just come out of that season feeling they did their best. I don't talking about "winning" or "placement" or any of that stuff. Most of that stuff is outside an individual member's control.
While it's natural and human nature to get wrapped up in scores and placements and we will all do that soon enough, at the core of the activity is a bunch of people on the field trying to be the best that they can be and working their ##### off.
I look forward to all the corps. I remember being at a show with about six corps of various placement and the seats next to me were empty until the last two corps came on. Then, suddenly, fans of one of those two corps showed up to fill their places. It wasn't that they were running late. They just didn't care to see any corps but theirs and the other corps that was in close competition with it. That's an attitude I just don't understand.
So, I can't wait to cheer everyone on the field this year and, even if a participant is in the lowest placing corps, I hope they have a season that they can treasure and be proud of.
Just as bad are the people in the stands sitting on their hands. Most of us have performance experience and know what it's like to hear applause and cheers. Please give some of that back to the performers. I may not stand and cheer myself hoarse for every corps, but every group, every soloist, every "big moment" gets applause. Everyone needs a little encouragement.

this early, i wouldn't tear myself up over it.
Good to hear. Although after waiting 9+ months, it's tough to ignore. (One more week, one more week...)

Cadets show is very very good. Best in several seasons as far as effect and construction and that's without any layering yet BUT they need to finish and then get some days of cleaning under their belt
That's one of the reasons I want to wait a week and see it live; finished, a bit cleaner and in uniform. I want maximum impact.

I don't know if I can make it!
I'm going to the Premiere at LOS and I really want my first viewing to be live, but IT IS KILLING ME. It's taking every bit of my will power to resist looking at video.

Lucas Oil Stadium!
I'd say everyone has me intrigued but I'm most excited (anxious?) to see Cadets.
I'm going alone as this is a stopover on a trip to Omaha for a wedding (DCI, WGI, marching band family).
I'm going to attempt to avoid any and all Spring Training videos or streaming in order to optimize that first live viewing experience, but I don't know if I have the strength to resist!

We're pretty lucky here in the Chicago area, too. Lots of shows.
True! You're in a hotbed as well.

When I move to the Cincinnati area, that's what my schedule is going to look like. The only show I'd add is the Alexandria, KY show.
As a resident of the Cincinnati area (northern KY) I would concur. I have a few differences to JL's lineup but it's pretty similar:
Jun 22 Indianapolis
Jun 26 Hamilton
Jun 30 Muncie
Jul 15 Alexandria
Jul 28 Nashville
Aug 7 Massillon
Aug 10-12 Indianapolis
I might add Centerville, OH on 8/1 but since it's a "school night" I don't know. And not to make you non-Midwesterners jealous, but none of these are longer than a four-hour drive. #centerofthemarchinguniverse

but only 56.8 hours until they perform in Johnstown (sans uniforms)
Which undoubtedly will be awesome! Unfortunately I won't be in Johnstown but WILL be in Indy on the 22nd. Just trying to keep my excitement in check till then.

I'm pretty excited that the repertoire is only five pieces versus the 10 (and more) of recent years. Less musical snippets and more chance to develop what the composers' intended...well, what can be accomplished in two minutes, anyway. Certainly better than 30 seconds of this, 45 seconds of that. Looking forward to seeing them.

Duh. Cadets 2000. I'm just now catching up from my winter DCP hiatus or I would have answered much earlier.

I had a piece of cake from Shapiro's. Mmmm, cake.

Agreed!!! A big bright uplifting Cadets with movement, intrigue musical passages, glorious cream straight legged flowing into and out of one another with an effect based guard (aka 2016) and a design with a loosely intertwined story that's not political. Oh my I just wet myself.😳
YES, PLEASE!!!

Is taking the purple sheet over the corps new? I don't recall it but I missed them on the Atlanta broadcast. It's a lovely effect.
I believe it's been there all season.

Hey guys, I didn't buy DCI Live this year so I'm watching vicariously through you all (I'm real-watching the Olympics). Thanks for the play-by-play!
