  1. If you feel that the Div 1 dues are too much you should try some of the Div III programs. They are usually looking for members and althought the program may not be the same as Cavies.... they still offer high quality programs at a lower cost. Like Bandettes for example. Our dues are $475 in US $600 Canadian. We have camps and tour just like the rest. Last year several problems and tragedies all hit at once and that caused us to have only a parade corps. But, my point is that there are other alternatives to paying so much to march.
  2. It just means that they moved it up to the top of the forum but had nothing to add to the post.
  3. Just a note: We are still looking for anyone interested in teaching brass or guard Shara
  4. Our official web site is still www.bandettes.org. You can get the latest info about the corps and talk on our forums there. Also, apply for membership and talk to the staff as well. Rick, a dedicated volunteer, has his own web site the "media" site. He publishes our newsletters and posts pictures that he has taken. Sorry if that was confusing anyone. Shara

  6. The topic of this thread was supposed to be about how there are many corps comming back or .... comming out for the first time. Let's all stay on topic and let us have a bit of glory. It is a huge task to get all of the correct "ducks in a row" so to speak. Everyone should be happy about it not picking on others dispite any negativity you may feel toward someone. Congrats to all! Hope to see you on the road next summer! Shara
  7. The arranging for the front ensemble is done by the person who writes all of our music or me. We do not have a separate person do that. If you are that eager to be involved with the corps... if you are of marching age then you sould come and try out in December at our first camp. If you are not of marching age and want to help out e mail me privatly and let me know. We accept all the volunteers we can get. Thank you though, Shara Barlow
  8. Thank you to all who applied! If you are still interested you can submit your information but positions may be filled. Final decissions will be made as soon as references are checked. Thanks,Shara
  9. Staff members may not march. Also, we do not accept staff members that are of marching age .... except on rare ocassions that they are the best qualified person for the position. We are currently not accepting applications for front ensamble because I am the instructor for that section. I hope this answers your question. If not feel free to send me a private message or e mail. Shara
