I think that you missed the point there.

He said that Revo beat Impulse in Horns(brass performance), and Marching(visual performance).

pardon me. my point is that visual performance is the on-field judge's view of the marching(visual) caption as it relates to individuals. you also have Visual Effect and Visual Ensemble, all of which (along with Color Guard) are component parts of the total Visual(marching) score.

tour is an endurance challenge. finals is the last step of that race. any position held prior to that last step is wholly irrelevant.

in future, face the loss straight up and make no excuses or rationalizations.

that's not expensive for an evening of live entertainment. but if you want to break it down look at fuel costs (it's crown's show and they gotta gas up the buses), the number of Div. 1 corps at the show that need to get paid, (in this case the Cadets are a huge draw, why not capitalize), facility rental, staff, advertising, etc. these costs never stagnate and they never go down.
