Any word on how much they cost?
-
The only bad thing I could say was the various changes in the sound quality. Other than that it was a great show! I think the on demand videos make up for that little problem anyways.
I agree with this! I was using a laptop and it was a little hard to hear on my little tiny speakers. (I did watch the OnDemand videos later on my desktop at home, which more than makes up for the issue!)

I think Crown's show has the potential to be the crowd pleasing show of the year.
-
I'd been having trouble, but it just came up now.
Signs of good things to come?

If you don't think a corp can move it's own placement, take a look at Crown.
-
I think the bigger problem (in terms of where the numbers go) is people who audition for "popular" or "winning" corps (especially from far away from the corps' 'home'), miss the cut, and then never try out elsewhere. These members could join corps that place somewhat lower during most years and help raise those corps to higher levels of achievement.

I for one thought the light blue feathered baldric and guantlets looked nice last year and helped convey the show's theme visually.

Random but related question:
I'd like to hook my laptop up to my 37 inch TV in the living room - how do I go about doing this? what adapter(s) may I need?
Hope someone can help.
If your tv is newer, it may have a VGA connector on the back (should be a blue or black connector with 3 rows of holes. This can connect to your laptop just like an external monitor or projector. (and provide a better picture than any other connection)

I'm interested in the 2006 DVDs

Madison - no explanation needed. Simply the most entertaining show of the year.
I totally agree!
Unbound!

Yes, my apd is really uneven at times. i dont know how to explain it.

Mine is too. After the first hit it gets REALLY loud compared to the beginning.

Some of us weren't completely satisfied with the sound equalization/quality.

Future Crossmen, wait and see.

Let me take a whack at this...
Yes, there are some differences. Not much, but a little. The tracks that will be released after the seasonAPDs are taken down follow a few rules, but were recorded from the same sources...
For example, if you want the opening for The Cavaliers with that solo, you'll want to pick up the APD soon. It will not occur in the CD or Finals APD because the BoD set rules about media prior to the year saying that, basically, only judged material gets on that media. Same for the Glassmen. So if you want those running starts, get your seasonAPDs.
The new APDs that are released later this month will come from the last show that the corps did. Semis from Friday, Finals from Saturday. Currently, every show up there is from Thursday, except for Crown (Friday, amp crackle).
The audio levels, referred to by the OP, will indeed have been tweaked for optimal performance, however they will be very similar to the currently posted APDs since those were tweaked as well.
Thank you for your input! Now I have to decide whether to attempt buying Madison's show again. (The vocals in the beginning were very quiet, and yes I know they weren't miked, but they seemed louder in person...)

Will the end of the year audio files sold by DCI.org be differently mastered in any way than APDs bought during the season?
(Main reason that I'm asking is that I bought the Madison 2007 APD from Semis and was wondering if they were going to simply put the same audio file up as the final version, or if they were going to adjust any audio levels to make it sound "better")
-
I may be wrong, but I believe this was included in their CD they put out for the 2006 pre-season. I meant to buy a copy, but neglected to and now they are unavailable.
If anyone can give me some help with this it would be much appreciated!
