WOW, watching BD on multicam is putting me to sleep. They must be picking horrible shots or angles or something, because it always looks like they aren't doing anything.

I think it's 100x harder to get any kind of emotional connection through a computer screen. I've watched some of my favorite shows of all time (that I've seen live) and it's a whole different experience on the screen. It just doesn't move me as much.
Live is where it's at.
Can't wait for Murfreesboro then! Not looking forward to the 7 hour drive though >_<

So I've been watching the Houston performances and WOW...is it just me, or is anyone else not feeling much emotionally from BD's or the Cavaliers' shows? Sure, they are clean and perform what they have very well...but where's the excitement? BD sits on chairs for what seems like a quarter of the show, and spells out "1930" like we didn't get it the first 19 times (exaggerating of course), and the Cavaliers have their pretty cool drill (almost always like it), but the music just sits their for me. I really don't want a champion that can't even raise one goosebump on my body.
I am not a hater of these corps...just not liking where potential championship performances are going this year.

Sorry, but this has been bothering me for a while. I thought I remembered SCV announcing their last 3 show titles back in 06, but I keep thinking maybe it was just a dream or something. Anyone know?

I remember hearing that frack for the first time a few years ago when I first discovered drum corps. He must have had a bad night, because there were many missed notes in all of his solos. Very good soprano, but just a bad night for him. I do feel bad for him though. I'm also quite drunk.

I'm a HUGE Madison fan....but this show is kind of a disappointment so far. Drill was dirty, and the show's staging seemed bad (trying to tell a story, but I didn't even know what was going on 70% of the time). Hopefully they can clean things up, change a few things, and make finals!

2005 stands out at the year I really took notice to them (I discovered DCI in 2002). But I think 1987 was my favorite year from them. Can't beat Autumn Leaves. 2005 is a very close 2nd though.

Between 2008 Blue Stars, 2007 BK, 2005 SCV, 2003 Madison Scouts and 1988 VK I'm going to go with....2007 Blue Knights. Awesome, dark show!
