Vanguard's guard is amazing. I could see them winning best guard at dci.

I love the Cadets, and their guard is great, but IMO keep them from the title.

Cadets are great but they need to do something much grander in the guard with the little green poles and hoops.

I am amazed that someone could be chubby in a color guard while running around a football field all day when it is 90 degrees.

I work in HR and am always curious what people make and what their benefits are.
Do any of you know specific comps on Directors/Designers, etc. of top 12 staff.
Do they receive benefits?
Are they provided health insurance.
Just curious.
They should make good money for what they put on the field, but I suspect they don't receive that much.
I know they probably do bands and other stuff, but I am interested in what the corps pay them.
I marched in a top 3 corps in the late 80's and remember the director made 35k.

I went to the show last night. I haven't been to Gillette Stadium since finals. The place is huge.
We had dinner at Davios-I had the homemade gnocchi in truffle oil-yum.
The Open corps were very entertaining.
My fave was Crown.
I live in the Boston area but I forgot how rude Boston audiences are. It is a challenge sitting through a show in Boston.

I would suspect this is a major money loser for DCI. I had a subscription to the fan network for years but did not join this year.
I have an incredible social life and was never around during the actual competition and relied on watching at a later date.

I will be attending but purchasing my tickets at the gate. The website says parking is included-I hope so!
I am not a member of any "club" at the show for which I am devastated.

I am sorry-I thought you were referring to Blue Coats when you said BAC. Now I realize your meant Boston-so could of taught them-again years ago.
Have you seen her in the past many years? There is no way she has been near a drum corps practice field in many many years.

Debbie Torcia did not teach BAC....I believe. She hasn't taught in years. She taught with Jay like in 1982 in Boston. I don't think she didn't anything much after that.

I heard Boston is going to have real farm animals "grazing" on the field. Lots of pigs and horses, and donkeys, etc.

I think Cadets guard may hold them back. Not the members, but the design.
Those small hoops and sticks do nothing.
