  1. It wouldnt be a commute it would be a permanent stay, I just like warm weather and I don't know if I wanna go to cali for  SCV/BD/some other corps i couldnt make it into. But I went to the magic's site and noticed they were getting a new director? I dont know, I just want to do Div 1 corps and I want to live in florida :).

    The Boston Crusaders also have camps in Florida BTW.

  2. they havntt made finals in 2 years

    Why would this imply it not to be a good place to spend two years? Personally, I do not like Magic as I have a personal bias against them. I don't wish to get into my reason right now on this board, but having said that I don't think that just because a corps hasn't made finals is a waste of a person’s time!

  3. <snip>

    There were at least three instances were people were sitting in the wrongs seats and it would interrupt those around.

    </snip>

    It does not bother me as much with an honest mistake as that could happen to just about anyone. It was the more deliberate actions of some that set me off. Oh...and thanks for listening. I feel even better now :)

  4. ATTENTION DCI:

    I really do not appreciate people sitting in seats that they have NOT paid for to sit in. I know this isn’t the theater, but you did not police this at all! This happened in both semi-finals and finals. I was on the 50-yard line eighth row back and a few people showed up late and....(drumroll)....someone else was sitting in their seats. They did get up but then had the audacity that they would just move and sit next to me. I have to admit I was a little fired up and said with a very angered and loud tone "Did you pay for these seats? Well, then you don't belong sitting in them!" The woman just looked at me and mumbled that it was OK just because everyone else is just doing the same thing. Well she and her husband were not going to do it next to me... DCI this makes me angry!!! I was a little more lenient finals night when division II/III corps staff was sitting next to me, but not sure to myself how I felt about that either. I did not say anything to them. When I marched and was let into the show, I never sat in spectator seats. I usually watched the show from the concourse area.

    Just my little rant…now I feel better.

  5. :rock: I know everybody loves controversy so here it is. Wasn't SCV in good standings for 9th place and a more that 1 point away from Boston? Was SCV really that good to make a 1 point jump finals night. They haven't been that close to Boston all season than all of a sudden....BAM! 8th place.

    Politics you ask?  Let a shining star like SCV drop so much in placing?

    I don't know....smells funny! :rock:

    I will start my first posting saying that my opinion may be skewed a little based upon my love of the Saders’ organization. That said, I would have to say that it was not Boston who dropped the ball, but SCV who elevated their performance and electrified the stadium that night. I was there on the 50-yard line eighth row back and SCV’s field performance was much better than its previous nights as it was very much more energetic. I am not going to get involved arguing the semantics of scoring, and I have always felt that a performance should be "called as you see it". Do I think Boston was screwed? Well perhaps, but I think that's what makes competition healthy among the corps and interesting for us as spectators.
