There is an old phrase, "On any given night...;" well, last night SHOULD have been one of those with the Blue Stars on top of SCV if only by tenths.
This past week, if anything, has been shaping a lot of end of the season groupings (minus the Blue Devils) and the Blue Stars and SCV seem to be in thier own little battle.
I just hope for all that is just and right that IF and only IF the Blue Stars continue to progress, clean, and refine thier program that they will reap the rewards in HONEST placement come finals. I said very early in the season that I feel that the Blue Stars have the makings of a 6th or 7th place corps this year and have been very critical of them at times.
Yes, SCV is putting out quite a difficult production with their Bartok show; but last night, the Blue Stars have shown that they are ready to take them on and should have been rewarded in placement.

I'm curious to see if Blue Stars will be able to close the gap with Phantom, maybe even beat them.
Will going on after Phantom benefit Blue Stars? We'll see.

You make me laugh, and Im not even being negative. You are the "expert" in Brass, visual, guard, percussion, GE, etc......when it comes to Blue Stars,
Some people on this forum have actually been around drum corps in several functions and for quite some time, making for rather well educated insights.

I guess from field level the theme is conveyed better based on what you have pointed out...
If you go to bluestars.org there's a nice little video that gives a better impression how it all ties in. Shows more detail of the guard work and how it relates to Houdini

while we have 140 users reading this thread, let me remind you to support the corps and vote for these corps on the Chase Community Giving face book page. Help them win $20K

Loved the close flag and also the nice body movement of the hornline.
Great playing throughout. Well thought out design and followed through to field. Easy to get but yet lots to see on 1 read so it's enjoyable to watch over and over.
Great job Stars.
thanks for the play by play. Keep it coming please

Not much info from the tweeters at the show. Hopefully we well get more updates soon!
The Blue Stars forum has a thread about the show also.
Unfortunately we're pretty much depending on Twitter and DCP as well for our info

This must be by far the easiest way to get a lot of money pumped into the activity.
We always go on about how much we care for our corps, and that it all gets so expensive. Well here's your chance to show your loyalty. There's lots of us here, so let's do the right thing and vote. And don't be scared to invite your friends to vote. I invited lots of friends and they voted not having a clue about drum corps, but they did it anyway.
No strings attached. Just do it!
What's up with DCP score page?

Have you tried checking caption scores? some corps score zero on several captions. In overall unweighted scores half of the corps go missing.
