3 consecutive practice days/ nights there. Univ. Delaware spent 60 million updating their stadium in 2018. They have an indoor practice facility there too if weather becomes hot/ humid/ rainy for Boston Crusaders practices there this week. However, the weather is good there this week I'm hearing so maybe they'll be outside there days/ nights in their outdoor stadium for their practices.

Athletics Facilities - Delaware First : Delaware First

Univ. Of Delaware !  Great facility. Perfect drum corps stadium. 2 days there. Maybe some consideration down the road for a major show....

Many of us have questioned the Texas tour given the increasing heat experienced around this time of year. But if it's assumed that San Antonio has to happen on the third or so Saturday of July, then at least get out of the state directly after. Why linger around and expect students to practice in this heat? Have the Mesquite and McKinney shows the week before San Antonio and head north!

Without Texas there is no significent DCI.. Corps members, fans, and revenue. Yes it is hot, but you do not succeed in ideal temps with 550 people watching a show. I do not live in Texas

Okay, a LOT of this show music is mpre similar to Cadets 1986 than I originally realized.

I like how Boston has treated the music.

I'll add a video of Cadets later for comparison.

Sorry folks, I love to compare and contrast!

The Knights of Prohibition played some of this music in 1931

Lets create a list of age outs that went on to do great things in music.

Al Chez and Joey Pero come to mind first.

I remember a thread on here talking about a drummer in a lead band had DCi roots.

    Lets Roll!

    Probably already mentioned.

Chick Corea.   St. Rose Scarlet Lancers...Chelsea, Ma. 1958 to 1960 ..one of those years in the old Eastern Ma. circuit

It did not break the bank. What it did however, was generating more membership interest than years past. That result in a typical 30-35 members corps growing to 50 kids in 2022.  A 61% growth from 2019 coming back from a pandemic.

It may look like small numbers but in a land where there is no marching band and where school music program are melting as fast the ice on top of the kilimandjaro, this was a remarkable achievement.

The corps finished the season in the black...as always.  Wish we would be base in a more music friendly zone. At least we have winterguard and a beginning of a drumline scene getting started.

Great to hear that the Stentors are adding members. I live on the border 27 miles south of Sherbrooke and drive an equipment truck for a top 12 corps. Always try to watch your show in Indianapolis,  You have the best drivers and kids riding all the distance in the school bus

    Just throwing this out there....

With it becoming more and more difficult and more expensive to do business and run a non-profit in California, would the San Antonio Vanguard make sense? Professional sports teams have made a move before. Garfield is no longer the home of Cadets.

    The Houston Mandarins?

    The D/FW Blue Devils?

The property on Space Park Dr. Is worth millions. SCV could use a portion of the sale revenue and relocate in a geographically and financially sensible area with a practice field.

Outstanding move! Howard was the driving force behind the corps' first ascent into finals and his tenure was very distinguished. He will add another dimension to what has become one of DCI's best organizations.

Great to hear Howard is again involved with BAC..will not forget the camps at Indian Ridge Middle School in Davie.

Although not a member of the corps I was able to watch the physical rebuilding that was happening at each camp and first hear " time to say goodbye "
