I thought Bayonne and Phantom were going to merge after the CYO in '78 but fortunately someone got them separated. Sort of a hostile takeover I think. Never been quite sure how that one would have come out.
Hey Ray how about picking on some other Corps for a change... You keep on dragging us through the mud... Enough already....
-
You had to see the first Bridgemen perfromance in Bridgeport, Ct. to get the joke.
Mike "The Dom" was marching next to you
-
Last day to sign up.... 87 people so far

Count me in... Any more Drum Corps people going?

Hey Joe, San Vito's is a major contributor for the Pasta Night... Come on down and have a taste from the other restaurants that also donate.

Well now, if money were not an option then I would have Ziggy build me a line with a some true 'marching' trumpets. Wrapped like a Powerbore with a more conical cornet like layout, the bell flare of the bugles, and a TAN slide.Pelican Cases.
Dream Big.
Try a Flip Oakes Wild thing.. Has a Bell Flare like a Powerbore and has different slides....Kanstul makes them for Filp Oakes...
"The bell is one of the most significant features of this horn. It is open wrapped, hand hammered, one piece with a very large throat with a 5" flare which helps to produce it's large "Wild Thing" sound.
The horn also comes with two distinctly different tuning slides.
Each tuning slide is stamped #1 and #2 for easy identification.
The #1 tuning slide is cylindrical, with a .470" bore for the biggest and most open sound.
The #2 tuning slide is conical starting at .460" bore and opens to .470" bore, which adds just the right amount of resistance to produce a warm full tone." http://www.flipoakes.com/bflat_trumpet.htm

Pay Ziggy enough and he'll do it...ask the Marines!
Which makes me wonder....what WOULD the price diff be between a new 3 valve Powerbore sop and a 2 valve model??
Powerbores $880
2 valve with shepards crook $1100
to all you G haters "It's not the car it's the driver" If you can a Bb in tune you could play a G in tune....
I heard some pretty bad lines with Bb.... Some of those Bb trumpet lines you can't even here from the stands...
-
surely in recent years you might have observed some hornlines being just too loud,
-
By the way that's a total of 20 Mintues .. Getting on, setting up, playing and getting off the field.. Just like everybody else...
-
Sorry CT Thats what DCI Gives us 20 Minutes not a minute more! We did good!
-
Blast from the past Saints horn quartet
Should work now...
-
I must be seeing things, for some reason they look like different people in this video
Nope thats Jim
-
Jim Brady played all the solos in '77 and '78
