  1. I can tell you that the '77 Bridgemen prelim score was NEVER published in any drum corps media. I have drum corps

prelim/final scores in my archives going back to the 1920's, and nobody printed them at the time.

I know I was a bit surprised last year to discover that the cpation breakdowns were there on the fromthepressbox website.

I had never seen them before that.

  2. Another one of those "wish I could" moments...

with student teaching this semester and then looking for a social studies teaching job over the summer... kinda makes this all really difficult.

Hey Andrew during the summer we only practice on show days.... You can't look for a job on the weekend! Besides you will get to play with the Great Johnric does it get any better then that :sshh: ?

  3. Bridgemen is understandably names after the Bayonne Bridge............but why name yourself after a bridge? why not a particular building etc.......is there some historical significance? Just wondering.......how did these corps names come about????

Several months later, the Bridgemen came to be. The name was chosen based on the Fort Lee Bridgemen, named for the George Washington Bridge. According to Fr. Donovan, who also favored the Fort Lee athletic teams, St. Andrew's would be named for the Bayonne Bridge; thus giving birth to the Bridgemen

  4. The Bridgemen have had a great off season so far and have picked up a number of new talented players. We are however looking for a few more to fill our line for the 2007 season. We still have 1 lead sop, 3 bari, and 2 contra spots open. We are commited to a line of 72 horns right now. If we get overwhelming interest we will go larger but we need to stay balanced.

If you are interested in filling one of these spots go to Bridgemen.com and register for the corps. We'll contact you from there.

The next rehearsal is Dec 10th.

We could use a few lower sops too.... 35 Sops that's what I'm talking about!!!!

  5. it is with great pleasure tht we announce our brass staff for 2007!!

The great Larry Kerchner will continue to be the arranger. It just wouldn't be the Bridgemen without Larry!

Matt Krempasky will be the new Brass caption head. Matt brings so much to the corps. We are so happy that Matt has agreed to step up and take over the program.

Dennis Argul and Gabe Gulino will bring their considerable talents to the corps as techs. We are so happy to have Dennis and Gabe back with the Bridgemen family.

We are so pleased to have such a fine, talented staff for 2007!!!!

    good luck guys!

Come to St. Andrews on Nov. 12 Meet them in person!!
