I think it will be a dog fight between Spirit and Academy
I also think to watch out for Bluecoats.....they have had the past 6 days without a show and I"m sure changes and clean have been a big option for them.
-
Is I da queen of Narnia.....Or is I in Crown's Cula Guad
-
Cavies, Glassmen, Blue Knights and Academy will round out the (as of now) top 12. For Academy you'll have to incorperate "honk" in there somewhere
-
I know Cavies had theirs in tonight.
Because I mentioned it in the Houston thread tonight.
yeah...i know...we talked about that in the Houston thread
-
does anyone know if Cadets and BD put in their new endings? I know Cavies had theirs in tonight.

I just got off of the phone with the Cavaliers and they did put the new ending in. However, it was a mess according to the person I spoke with. They started working on it yesterday and only had a couple of hours this afternoon to work on it, due to rain. They also had a clinic to do this afternoon.
Word has it that it is moving, moving, moving, moving and they play 90% of the time. Two more rehearsal days before San Antonio. It is going to be a bloodbath on Saturday, especially if Cadets or Blue Devils have their new endings in.
Can't wait.
I knew Cavies wouldn't go into a major regional...especially one this close....without giving the ending a test run. Sounds like a good thing they did.

Via phone thanks to Geluf

By this point I doubt the kids even know what day of the week it isBless their hearts....they really don't! My 16 yr. old NEVER knows what day it is, where he is or where he's going!
Really the only way you knew what day it was, was if you had a regional...then you knew it was atleast Saturday...other than that you didn't care what the day was.
-
For our friends hanging out in the Mesquite thread tonight, this one's for you!
In Mesquite, it is illegal for children to have unusual haircuts.
I hope Crown isn't there tonight...they may be missing a few male color guard members!
-
No.....It will be in San Antonio
it's two days before....you would think they might want to test it out before going into a major regional... should be interesting...I've heard BD and Cadets are throwing in new "real" endings too.
-
will tonight be the first night of Cavies new ending?
-
this has nothing to do with the show tonight.....but I am excited to see where Bluecoats score will place...they haven't had a show since ATL and should be wicked clean going into SA.

The interesting thing on the "Photo Day" of the invidivual shots is the fact that some of the members are still wearing the last seasons gauntlets and baldric, and most of them wearing it are the vets. Only one or two of the vets that I know took pics with the new baldric and gauntlets. It is cool that they had the option to choose! How often would you really be able to get a good shot up close like that during the season. B)
By them choosing to wear last year's gauntlets and baldric...will that really reflect the 2007 PR season and show..."hey...look...I was a member of the 2007 Phantom Regiment." Or will people just think they have doubles from 2006...Just a thought.

In Atlanta, Spirit and Blue Stars were two points up on Scouts in head-to-head competition, and Crossmen were only a tenth or so back. I'd say tonight is a textbook example of why you can't compare scores across contests (and especially across different days).which is probably why we should include date of last show when giving scores like this. Madison's score would make it look like they were ahead of 5 corps when actually those corps just haven't performed in a day or two.

That's great for Madison...way to go...but....7 of the corps who are now under Madison have not been scored tonight or in a day or so....I personally don't expect them to stay there.

I like the added look....is it my favorite for PR...no....but it fits the theme of the show perfectly!

If Academy does make it into finals this year I hope they do not become one-hit-wonders like other corps that went from Div II/III to Div I corps and made finals. Seattle '02, Magic '03
-
Full retreat was done away with in 03 correct? Have the other Troop DM's done this as well or is this just something that has happened this year with Mark being the DM?
As for the unguarded flag....BD should have known better
