    EVERY member of every corps busts their ___, and almost none of them get as high a placement as they'd like. Many even have an emotional attachment to their corps. They don't all throw a public tantrum if they get criticized online.

    Guts? It doesn't take guts to talk about how you're so under-rated. He could have laughed it off as silly DCP people who don't know anything (correctly), or *at most* responded to "the comment" in its own thread. Instead, big scene in General. Awesome. That'll teachum.

    Ugh. The bandos only jump in and join the ego-stroking because they don't know any better. Many young people look up to corps leaders (won't somebody think of the children?).

    It was never stated that crown was underrated. Again I had no idea what this site was, just found it on accident. This is my last post. Maybe people should get a life and stop bashing people. All corps, no matter ranking, did great this summer, and every summer preceding. What everyone needs to remember, is that there is no such thing as "Bad Drum Corps" it is an oxymoron. If this site is TRULY a site of real drum corps FANS, maybe people will stop bashing. That is probably asking a little too much.... but I figured I'd try. Go ahead and pick this post apart, have a field day, but if I even made one person realize that they have bashed on someone who busted the butt for 85 days, and maybe had a change of heart, i think i have succeeded.

    I love drum corps, all of them, and I will continue to love it..... That is the exact reason I wont return to this site. Thanks for teaching me a lesson. To all that support, keep doin what your doin.

    Hey Guys, I am new to this dcp thing, I dont really know what it is. I didnt mean to offend anyone, or embarrass anyone. It was late, I was reading posts, got a little emotional, and said what I felt. I guess I know how this thing works now, let people criticize unless you are a member? As long as you don't defend yourself? If thats what it is, cool, i'll stay off this thing.

    I am auditioning on Trumpet. I am pumped up about this audition. I can't wait...I am worried though because I am so excited about Crown. If I don't make then I will fall very hard...but I have to keep a positive mind...I will make it...hopefully.

    okay so i work at a high school teaching pit, the battery instructor is a guy that says he marched crown and well i've found abunch of flaws in the stuff he's been saying. I was wondering if he did march have any of you known or heard about him? his name is Josh Matthews? last year he told a friend of mine he marched tenors, then when i first started talking to him he said he marched bass and then this year he says now that he marched snare when he did?!!?! then he said something about staying in hotels? uhhhh doesn't corps just stay in schools and sleep on the gym floors? things are just not adding up to what he says and if he didn't march crown all i want is for him to not lie about it!

    well if it was 05 or 06 he definately wasnt in the battery. Thats all i can help you with.

    Also, from the times I saw both of those shows, I thought Crown played more in tune in 2005 than in 2006.

    Both were definately great hornlines. But marching through them in 05 and 06, my ears rang just a little more in 06. But that may just be because it was more recent so I remember it more. Doesnt matter, both were amazing.
