My director is pretty cool about it , he marched florida vangaurd back in the day. he is a b.a. trumpet player , more of a jazz guy though. if anything , hes a more old school drum corps kinda guy.

Video Game Music.
Specifically, anything from the Final Fantasy series, by Nobuo Uematsu (the John Williams of the video game world).
I think people who are unfamiliar with VG music would be pleasantly surprised.
Thats funny , my schools winter percussion is doing a nintendo show or something to do with video games. too bad my mallet playing is garbage!!1 well thats why im a euph playerr!!!

yup , i can see it now . a kenton show , like "ode to the mellophone" or someshit. cause you know he made those for his album "cuban fire" called um "mellophoniums" cool stuff

Well , im not going to march this summer , because i dont want to get there being only a freshmen in highschool , 15 , and not being , i belive , good enough . so im gonna sit the summer out and practice like mad. but you best belive , 2008 is gonna be my year. i hope to be done with the arban book i have by then , and be compitent at the isntrument , being this is my first year on it ,being a former srting bassist and trombone player.
but keep the ideas coming , i wanna be able to haver the chops to make the corps next year

So i have me a problem, I cant figure out what i should do for my audition on baritone. i need a lyrical and technical piece , i havent been playing all too long. i want something semi easy but also very capable of showing emotion through the playing. if anyone could help a brother out, ill reward you with prizes of the smiley kind!

Ok , who is driving up to the first camp , not the audition camp but the next one in jax from the area? I am in need of a lift and if you are driving i will be more than happy to offer gas money . Also if you are from the area , what school do you go to ,i really enjoy people who can discuss corps .

Well the moms changed her mind , since kiwanis just moved to miami , because of transportation costs , im gonna march with them this summer. i hope you guys have a great summer and good luck !

Cool beans , i might end up going to the satilite audition at saintlocious (sp?) highschool in lantana because im from the ft.lauderdale/miami area. i can probilly snake my mom into getting my to the one in jacksonville if if would be a whole lot better for me to go.

Im going out this year for teal sound . it will be my first time marching a corps , its funy gear48 , im a euph player too. since you marched last year , what were your experiences with the corps , and were the parts good for the show?
