this is the order for prelims except put the renegades in the 8th place spot... and minus the corps not attending DCAs this year and so cal is going on between MCL and Fusion Core which im confused about but oh well more power to them then
-
Yeah and Bush got a 19.1 in guard. No doubt Hurcs guard is fantastic this year, but if you took both guards side by side without the accompanying brass and percussion lines behind them, I think the scores would be a lot closer...just my opinion. I'm entitled.
i'd say your right, i think they both are comparable to each other and once bush's guard gets really clean they should do well... i think hurcs guard is great but i think they have peaked... notice how everyone is gaining on them...
best of luck to all colorguards!!! :-)
-
heard Hurcs popped a 19.6 in guard..wow!!!!
indeed they did...
-
what's fair and what isn't? I have no idea... I do know that I have lived through every imaginable type of seeding and there are good and bad things about all..
This year (and last) seeding is by the highest score in ANY sanctioned show... period... makes no difference whether you're a voting member or not... or when that show was...
The CA corps will be accommodated by exception rule...
All seedings will be announced on Sunday...
I'm assuming a good MAJORITY of the corps will be posting their highest score, this weekend...
-
ok procrastinators... the end is near
Postmarked tomorrow August 20th... or email Dick Pronti... do whatever it takes... tomorrow is the last day for entries...
procrastinator right here for sure....
so it just has to be postmarked the 20th, so if you dont get the application and money till the 21st or 22nd thats ok??
-
i predict that all of these predictions on here are wrong... and the only way for you to find out who will get what, is to go to DCAs rather than sit on here and wonder and guesstimate....
PS
who cares who really wins, judges will see it however they want to see it... and if your favorite corp doesnt get 3rd, 2nd or 1st and a corp you feel belongs in 5th or 4th or 6th or 2089494589430th but wins or places higher, then don't come on here and complain about it like a 5 year old and stop trying to make excuses for them and the performance they put on... they should be happy with what ever job they do, people ranting on here is not going to change what has already been said and done!!!...
my only prediction is that everyone (especially Empire ) will have a kick ### DCA weekend!!!!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS!!! :-)
-
Bumpity-bump! One more day to get those applications in. The more the merrier!
does the payment have to be in by tomorrow as well??
-
no rewiews???
anyone?????
-
any reviews???
-
bad color choices hang over them.
huh?! whats that mean lol
PS
uniforms are not done

Statesman: Sorry guard but it looks like a tough year in front of you.
and thats your opinion... cant wait to show people that this is NOTHING compared to last year!!!!! :-)
cant wait for clifton!!! gooooooooood luck!
-
I spoke to some of the Statesmen members after the show. The show was only the third time they had run through the show from beginning to end. Throw that on top of no every day rehearsal schedule and the weather issues yesterday and there's a reason why Statesmen are behind the curve right now.
Statesmen DO have all of next weekend to rehearse and tighten things up. They then have a home show July 4th weekend so they don't have to deal with travel time and can focus on improving their performance even more.
What I would like them to do, however, is ditch the drum solo. A total rip-off of Madison '05, complete with hornline on whistles. That has NOTHING to do with the ES 25th anniversary outside of that it's from West Side Story and because Pete Weber and Colin McNutt were on Madison's design team in '05.
yeah we have only done about 3 or 4 run throughs of the complete show... and yesterday we got rained on during our rehearsal, so we did no run through before the show... we knew that it wasnt a good show... if you see us in 2 or 3 weeks, guaranteed your opinions will change... :-)
it was a fun show either way and thanks glassmen for providing food to us after the show!!
PS
LOVVVVVVVVVVVE Bostons show this year!!!!!
-
Hate to add fuel to the flame, but the poor sportsmanship was a disappointment!
I don't care who you are or where you're from -- there's just no room for it, especially of that nature.
who was that??
-
It's also too bad you didn't train them well enough to execute. If you want to be snarky. . .that's fine. I have your fantastic little message that you sent me saved as well. But the simple fact is compared to the performances they turned in for Prelims and the show they had Wednesday night at Stebbins, it was not a good run. I could have said. . .they didn't execute as well as they previously had or that it was a bad run. Whatever the terminology. . .it wasn't their best show.
wowwwwww
-
Post thoughts as the guards go on and off.
You know like a play by play (oh it will be fun)
Seminole: looked like a great run, wonderful color palette and flag feature! Loved it.
I am sooooooooo glad they made finals... I absolutely lovvvvvved them last year!!!!
-
looking at the recap... ventures would have been 3rd had it not been for the movement judge putting them in 9th place... oh well im glad the academy came out of nowhere and medaled
-
A bit behind this year... Why 16 in IO finals?
Etude and Pride of Netherlands tied for 15th in semi finals thus there are 16 for finals... A class had ties for 15th last year as well, in fact last year both IA AND SA had ties for 15th
-
YAY!!! Congrats AE on the 98.2 and the gold...
I am most happy that West Orange won bronze.... get it
-
I was really hoping South Hills would make finals, I love their show, but after I saw they didn't make finals at the West Power Regional 2 weeks ago, those thoughts quickly disappeared.. . .hopefully they can pull it together, but that would be one heck of a comeback if they did!
and that they did... what a comeback!! kinda like an "in your face WGI" comeback...
