Fusion Core, 2010 Class A Champions, will be coming to a town near you for the 2012 season. Fusion, based in Morris County NJ, has begun discussions with several music educators and community leaders within the Kennett Square PA, Newark and Wilmington DE, and Towson and Baltimore MD areas to bring championship caliber instruction to drum corps enthusiasts living south of our current home area in Morris County, NJ. As an extension of the Fusion Organization, the Core will be expanding its current membership by securing a secondary rehearsal site within the Tri-state area (MD/DE/PA). Fusion's World Class Instructional Team will be facilitating rehearsals in both the Morris County NJ and Tri-State areas for the 2012 season as we bring the sport of drum corps into the future. Director, Holly Marino said, “We have many marching AND staff members from the Delaware, Maryland, DC and Pennsylvania areas and are all very excited to be exploring new opportunities to strengthen the drum corps activity. With the wonderful City of Annapolis hosting the DCA Championships in 2012, coupled with interest in the Core in these areas, now seemed the perfect time to expand the Fusion Family.” Be a part of the 2012 Fusion Core and receive more information on the southern expansion by visiting us at Join Fusion 2012.

  23. It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our friend, Founding Father, Board Member & Assistant Director, Thomas Maurice Banks. Maurices idea to start a new and different drum corps came to life in January 6, 2007 when the first Fusion open house was held at the Mine Hill American Legion Post #391. Maurices kind and genuine nature came across in everything he did; loading the truck, mentoring a member or cooking for the corps. These were just a few of the things Maurice did. Maurice was an integral part of the administration setting the values and philosophies of the corps which has allowed us to be successful on and off the field. While Maurice is no longer with us words cannot describe how he has touch and changed our lives. A man of integrity, passion and kindness he will be with us forever.
