  1. ALL HAIL! Happy Founders day Brothers

-president of Nu Eta at UTSA

Brothers! I need your help! There is only 1 day left to vote for my car in the Texas Ford Dealers Freshen Your Ride contest. I am currently holding second place but if I win first I will get a brand new 2011 Ford Fiesta!. All you have to do is take ten seconds to click the vote button and then the blue share button to the left of the vote button after you vote! If you have some extra time please try to get as many friends and family voting until Thursday at 11:59 pm. Thank you very much for all the support and help to get me a safer ride :) Remember you can vote every 24 hours from when you last voted! And if you use google and search "The Lame Lebaron" you can vote once per device, so any computer and smartphone you can get a hold of!

Here is the link to vote!

  3. Yeah, Tez, I'm with you! I have a DMA and love all the shows, but what do we know right?

But you know, this place would be way boring if everyone didn't find something or some corps to ##### about all the time! I just watch and laugh! You can join mean we 'll have a brew and get a kick out of all the haters and whiners....

(PS, Any of you that respond probably fall into this category...)

oo can i join ill bring the guinness

  4. So many negative comments tonight....... I really enjoyed all the shows.

I feel like I have very high standards (I have a masters degree in music), but some of you just have such a narrow range of what you like/accept.... try to have a more open mind and you'll be a much happier person.

i really did like all the shows the only thing i didnt like is all the synth lol...

  5. Blue Knights, welcome to my realm of fandom. Say hello to just about every corps I have seen between the years 2004 and 2009. You'll have to speak up to say hello to the cavies. They are still in the corner thinking about wht they did last year.

ouch I liked Samurai and I loved performing Samurai lol

  6. NEVER EVER thought I would say this .........

BD's hornline is sounding TIRED and WEAK tonight

i agree i love bd's horn sound usually the louds sound nice but when the drop the volume down it sounds like its lacking some support... must be the altitude :P still like the jazzy show though its great

  7. All of the alumni I met this summer were very respectable men and I felt so honored to be able to meet almost everyone Important to our organization. And they also kicked some major ### in there performance and we couldnt have asked for a better Alumni association. IF there mad about us crossing the yard line let them be. But I heard stories from back when corps used to physically hurt eachother in fist fights and street brawls. How can people have such hate for us when we clap for everyone we get a chance to, and congradulate them and make freinds with every corps?

  8. You're not talking to ignoramuses (ignoramii?). You're talking to people with plenty of their own drum corps experience, and even people who understand all about the Cavaliers whether from their own years there or being connected with them in other ways. You're young, man, so give yourself some time (ha! like I'm old or something), and you will come to understand us better. It's not about "we don't like that they're having fun." It's about the idea that there's a certain way to conduct oneself in that situation, and while Cavaliers have always been known for being rather lax at retreat, many are saying that what some did that night crossed the line. Fun is not the arbiter of good and bad, and in many cases the fun thing is the wrong thing--not because it's fun, but because it is destructive to others or to the self in some way. In this case, it is destructive to the sense of respect for others that is supposed to be one of the fundamental values of drum corps (and, by extension, the rest of the world); it has been reduced to "I want to do it because it's fun."

Dave no your not that old your only 25 or so. I myself am 21 and though you have been around the activity a little longer than I have I started my DCI experiance in 2003 and have gained respect for all of the orginizations. Ive marched with the small corps such as Revolution from san antonio tx to the middle groups or low end of the div1 such as magic and finished with a very good organization ageing out in The Cavaliers. Im sure we would even invite people over into our blcok and heck we would give em jolly ranchers. It just seems that an activity with so much value for the members and such good experiances its kind of childish in its own sense to sit there and recap the whole season to hey look a cavalier crassed a yard line. Theres so much more worth while things to be talking about, and bashing corps and people is also childish.

  9. A marcher isn't in danger of getting hit in the face while marching, whereas boxing, hitting and getting hit in the face is the main aspect of the sport. Plus, have you ever boxed? It's not exactly a cake walk.

Are you kidding. Ive seen more blood in a DCI rehersal or show than any boxing match. With the high demand of visuals and guard tricks theres rifles, sabers, and other objects flying everywhich way and somtimes they dont go where there supposed to. So to say a marcher is not in danger of being hit in the face is a lie lol. And I do count DCI as a sport, yeah were not being "blocked" or anything like that but that doesnt happen in alot of sports. We still have to maintain certain althetic traits, and some are more demanding than alot of sports, just to be able to do what we do.

  10. that report is freaking stupid. what it should say was the parents of that child were so freakin stupid and such bad parents they obviously couldnt gain the love of there own child. And instead of letting hte kid runaway and live on the streets the colts and the host family took care of him. mabey instead of teh parents of the kid blaming it on them and filing a suit they need to sharpen there parenting skills and grow the hell up.
