  1. I know that the Muchachos were very strong in 75 and a Contender for the DCI Title. They were removed from the Finals due to marching over age members. They did perform in Prelims. Does anyone know what that Prelim Score was, and if they had made Finals how close they were to Madison and the Title?????????????

  2. I do not think the originator of this post was suggesting the Cadets guard was being shafted. He was simply asking what their problems are, since he has not seen them.

Exactly, I never meant to mean anyone was getting shafted, but as you know in the past, The Guard normally was not coming in 5th-7th. I know there are many good guards out there, I have not seen The Cadets Live thus far, so Im trying to figure out why they are placing Low, its not like them normally to place 5th-7th. What needs to be done to get them into the Top Three Guards???

When you go accross the Recap Sheets, its so surprising to see the placement of the Guard, I dont think Ive seen that sort of placement in years!! If they raise that score up 1.0 to 1.5, their overall score will place them firmly in 1st Place!!!

So, someone who has seen them live, tell me what is wrong!!!

  3. I have not seen the Cadets live this year, so perhaps you can fill me in. Every time I see a Recap Sheet, The Cadets Guard is scoring a point lower than they normally do. Cadets in the past have been known for their Guards, and they are being placed 5-7th this year. If they just had that extra point they would normally have, they would have almost won every show this season.

Why are the being scored out of the Top Three?? Is it a cleaning problem, a difficulty problem??? If they get that guard score where it normally would be, no one is going to beat them!!!! Someone tell me why they are down a good point from where they usually are!!!

  4. You have gotten off the track of my original Question, Which Corps looked the best on the DVD, which ones didnt do them justice, such as , missing a great High angle view of a drill move and the camera is on a Pit member etc, all the corps have points in their show where you would want to see the drill from a High angle, many times they have the camera on a single person and you miss a great drill move, That was my question, which Corps on the DVD did you get to see the best shots!!

  5. Just my own feeling. You can do yours too

    22. Pioneer

    21. Southwind

    20. Mandarins

    19. Pacific Crest

    18. Troopers

    17. Seattle Cascades

    16. Madison Scouts

    15. Crossmen

    14. Spirit of JSU

The Cadets are NOT going to end up in 4th place, If they dont win, they will be 2nd.

    13. Colts

    12. Academy

    11. Blue Stars

    10. Glassmen

    9. Boston Crusaders

    8. Blue Knights

    7. Santa Clara Vanguard

    6. Phantom Regiment

    5. Carolina Crown

    4. Cadets

    3. Bluecoats

    2. Cavaliers

    1. Blue Devils

Some sad things for me are to see Madison, Crossmen and Troopers to be down the list and not top 12.

I am also happy if Blue Stars and Academy are up there in top 12.

Ever notice how Blue Knights are in top 12 and no one really talks about them?

  6. They are OK, considering they were available 1 week after they were filmed. The sound quality is not great, some of hte shots are not so hot, but it's early. I think we will benefit from the earlier filming and webcasts with better DVD's of Championships. Overall, for the price and the speed of which they were produced, they are not bad. I certainly would not want this DVD to be all I had for this year though.

Which Corps looked the best on the DVD??? Which ones are better in person and the DVD Angle shots didnt pick that up???
