Happens all the time....the flugel soloist from 2016 Academy made the move to BD as well.

    #### near EVERY corps ha has members go to BD over the years....including people who previously won -- sometimes the previous year.

I thought a memeber of 16 Bloo went.   I know there was a member of 13 Crown in the 15 BD show....and I marched in 84 with a bari from 83 Garfield,so this is nothing new.

    I think it was a snare BDB-BlueCoats-BDA

Any discussion of what corps should do to generate revenue, should begin with understanding where they currently are in the revenue-making results.  Taken directly from www.guidestar.org, the revenue numbers paint a rather interesting picture.  It should be pointed out that BD, SCV, and Cadets have organizations larger than most.  In the case of BD, they generate, by far the most revenue. SCV pales in comparison to BD even though they, too, are well ahead of anyone else in DCI.

2017 Placement / Corps / $ Revenue as last reported

    1. Blue Devils / Performing Arts for Youth $23,964,680

    2. SCV / Vanguard Music and Performing Arts $15,060,214

    3. Carolina Crown, Inc $3,219,205

    4. Cavaliers $1,564,612

    5. Bluecoats $5,432,421

    6. BAC / Inspire Arts and Music, Inc $3,393,914

    7. Cadets / YEA $6,157,771

    8. Blue Knights / Ascend Performing Arts, Inc $1,602,432

    9. Phantom Regiment $1,698,216

10, Bllue Stars / Performing Arts for Youth, Inc. $1,637,159

    11. Crossmen / Crossmen Productions $1,536,865

    12. Madison (could not locate)

Feel free to reference the above for further conversation within this thread. Or, if you'd like, use the revenue numbers as a basis for it's own discussion thread.

Forward Performing Arts $1,315,088 is Madison
