  2. You mean the guy in the pic? ... Who'd he play with - Sun's Reunion Ensemble? ...

Great night at the Garfield Post ... lots of Whoers in the house: Tony, Donna, Liz, Stanko, Priester and maybe more (I was a little busy ... LOL) ... maybe Tony will post some pics ...

  3. Fellow Drum Corps members & fans, here is a way to help the Bridgemen out & at the same time not cost you anything but a couple of clicks!

Every little bit helps us to make sure that the SHOW NEVER ENDS!

Thanx in advance for your support!

    Long live Drum Corps!

    *********************************************

FOR EVERYONE WHO TO JOINS I-GIVE THIS WEDNESDAY!!

WE WILL MAKE $1.00 FOR EVERY NEW PERSON WHO JOINS AND

    CHECKS OUT ONE STORE!!

    ********************************************

    IMPORTANT OVERVIEW

For each person who joins iGive using the special link below AND visits a

participating iGive store (there are over 700 stores (from Amazon to Zazzle, eBay to HSN and QVC) at

iGive) via iGive between noon, Wednesday February 24, 2010 and 11:59 a.m., Thursday,

February 25, 2010,iGive will give Bridgemen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps a dollar.

    ********************************************

5,000 new members, $5,000. No purchase necessary. That's 5,000 new

members for all causes, not just yours, so it's a bit of race.

Of course, if these new members search more (or buy something at an iGive

store) they'll earn even more money for Bridgemen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps. Right now, we're donating a

special bonus of $5 for that first purchase plus the usual percentage, on top of this $1 special challenge.

    This is the link:

    http://www.igive.com/welcome/warm_reg_promo.cfm?c=47420

    .

    The details:

    - Offer active between noon, February 24, 2010 and 11:59 a.m.,

    Februrary 25, 2010 (Chicago time).

    - New members only (never have been an iGive member

    previously). All

the normal rules of membership, searching, and purchasing apply, our site

has the details. Real people only, who sign themselves up. It's not fair

to hire a room full of elves who sign people up, the new member has to sign

    him or herself up.

    - Once we've given away $5,000 to all causes combined, the offer ends.

    - The special link is important. No link, no $1.

    - Visiting a store via iGive is crucial. No visiting a store via

    iGive, no $1.

That's it. Don't forget to try our search yourself

(http://isearch.igive.com) as well as checking out the over 700 stores.

You may need to login or register first (personally, as an iGive member).

We sent you this e-mail because you're in our records as the cause contact,

    not as a member personally.

Want to see how your group is doing, both towards the

5,000 member goal and in general? Once the challenge starts, you can see stats at:

    Visit http://www.iGive.com/html/causestats.cfm

  4. If you *know* who it is.... please wait a while (not everyone is on here all day or even daily for that matter)

If there have been no Guesses..........Then give a *challenging* hint.

When giving hints on these try to be creative and just dangle the tiniest tidbit. Make people really think / work on it. Then wait it out a while before tossing another tiny vague tidbit...

C'mon we've got to make these last a little longer. PLEASE??

For a little more insight on the workings of this thread check out pg. 790 post #7894.

Also, any comments made MUST be made in good taste... this is a fun loving thread... not a revenge match. Please spew your venom elsewhere.

Please submit any questions and / or pics in their full size (preferably JPG format), with full description - names, Corps, Stadium, Year... etc. to: The *Guess Who* Mailbox

    Thanx in advance!

All that said and out of the way...

He marched next to me and China in the New York Kingsmen way back in the 60's - he really wasn't all that dirty.

  6. What she said.

It's very disappointing after we work so hard to put out a quality product ourselves, and are rewarded with a substandard product in return.

    Well, I got mine today.

    Sound was awful, picture terrible.

I won't be buying any more from BVP

  7. It's that time of the year again...fall parade season: Columbus Day, Pulaski Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, whatever.

Let us all know where you guys are playing and when.

Here's a new twist. Like the Renegades invite people to do their CNY parade in Feb. Does any corps open up for people wanting to "sit in", or rather, "march" in for one of their parades?

I started this, but off the top of my head, I can't remember our schedule. I'll have to post that later.

Bridgemen are marching in the Bayonne Columbus Day parade on Sunday October 11th.

  9. -----------------------------------------

From the hornline perspective.......... I have to say that is what makes the alumni version so wonderful..... I feel like I am competing with myself to get better. I think there are lots of us that feel that way.........

Plus and no offense to the "work" ethic, they are the funnest bunch of bananas to be with.

As to the horn instructor - - he is a good egg and having done the surgery thing less than six months ago and still paying the price for trying to play and march to early......... I know what it takes for him to do what he does. Hip, Hip, Hooray, Hip, Hip, Hooray.... and you guys know the rest.

I have said many times and will repeat here - - I am honored to do what it is we do, with the group we have year after year.... they are the best that drum corps brings to the field. Bar none.

    LOVE

    BLONDIE

    WOO-HOOO!!!! MORE DRILL!!!!!!!!!
