Thank you to everyone who thanked a Vet!
I am a Vet (hence the long absense from DC), but I do want to thank everyone who takes the time to spend time with someone who has served!
I met a young man in a convenience store yesterday that had just returned from Iraq. I shook his hand and said thank you, I appreciate all you did for your country.

Don't forget about The Presidents in Greeneville, TN. They're talking about coming out next year. I'm going to try to, at least, make it down for the Open House on Dec 1st. Don't know if my finances could hold up to the gas price of driving 2+ hours to get there. We'll see.
Yes we are !!! We are ready to hit the field this year. We have some fine Brass/Percussion/Visual instructors and writers in place. Most instruments are here, and some still needs to be picked up from HS bands that borrowed them. We have uniforms and the music is being written now, and some is done. We are waiting until everything is finished before we announce the entire show. We will hit at least 3 DCA South shows this year. If you are traveling from 2hrs or so, we have alumni from as far away as Knoxville, Virginia, and others. I am sure that once we have our open house we can help arrange some carpools. Our website is up at www.presidentsdrumandbuglecorps.com . Please bring your own mouthpiece an sticks. We Feed at all rehersals !!! We look forward to seeing everyone soon !

Could that be our buddy Bill ? I would also like to have a copy of it as well !

Heck if playing music that folks recognize is chancy then we must be the most risk-takingest corps in DCA based on last year's selections. And we are continuing that tradition this coming season. Not sure if our show announcement has been made public here on DCP. I know its posted on our website. www.gulfcoastsound.org
GREAT SONGS, and my favorite band of all time "Molly Hatchet"!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to hear this show !!!!

So if we really wanted to have fun we could play half a show in Bb and hold down the third valve for the second half and play in G just like the old days of 2 valve bugles LOL
That is exactly what most corps with Bb horns are/will probably do!

Still have some work to do on it, but the Presidents Drum and Bugle Corps in Greeneville, Tn., website is up and updated with Open House information. Please sign the Guestbook while you are there!
