  1. This is so cool! :peek: It is me..... And yes...we will catch up!!

Oh, Hey Linda!! This is TOO COOL!!!! What a Great and Small World this Activity of ours is!!! Most definitely looking forward to catching up with you!!!

And, when you get back up to this great white North....(Yes, you will probably remember that I am one of the biggest "Yankees" alive, LOL)............COME JOIN "WHITE SABERS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Hi White Sabers....

I've been kind of sitting in the background watching these forums now since at least December, but from everything I've been reading and hearing about this corps, I had to finally speak up and say something.

This is one of the most impressive organizations I have seen in some time. I am hoping that if I am able to move in a more northerly direction that I could play in this group. It just seems so much like a well organized and friendly place to enjoy this activity.

Keep up the good work. I will be staying in touch and looking forward to meeting you all. More about myself later.

PS..Brenda.....I seem to know you from somewhere, but I've been in several corps over the years? Ever do Mirage Sr?

Yes, I was in Mirage, Sr for a short time....wow, that was years ago....how time flies! Wait....is this Linda?!! Linda, if this is you....please PM me.....I want to give you a full run down on everything that's been going on with me.....let's do some catching up!!! :peek:

I'll vouch for that! It's all TRUE!!! The Music is Awesome....VERY NICELY arranged....the drill is Awesome....Oh, and I wouldn't feel right if I left out one of the BEST parts of all......IT'S A "G-BUGLE" LINE!!!!!!!

This Corps is the "REAL DEAL" Folks......Oh, and they just happen to be a "Real Class Act" too!!!!

    "GO WHITE SABERS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tongue::devil::devil:

    See you this weekend.

Thanks So Much, Bob!!! I'm very happy to be a part of you guys and can't wait for the season to unfold!!! Looking forward to making some more music with you guys next weekend!!!!

    Until then.....

  6. "WHITE SABERS"!.......I want to Thank You guys for a Wonderful Day on Sunday!!! I had a great time with you guys and can't wait to get back out there next weekend!!! And, I must tell you that I am "Totally Blown Away" by all of you!!! You guys are a "class act" and you all made me feel so welcome there.....you are all, without a doubt, some of the friendliest people I have ever met.....and I already feel like part of the "White Sabers" Family!!!!

The music is "GREAT" and I am really digging the "DRILL"!!! I know I mentioned this to a few of you while I was there on Sunday.....but, I'm already going in to major "Drum Corps Withdrawal"......I need a "White Saber" Dose, ASAP.....LOL!!!!!!!

I'm counting the days until next weekend......"GO SABERS".......YOU GUYS "ROCK"!!!!!!!

  7. Ive been part of 2 DCI startup corps during my Junior Eligibility time. Both didn't make it to the field. Now that ive aged out, ive always wanted to be part of creating a Drum corps. I happen to live in maine, so basically the question is would DCA like to see a Corps come out of Maine? or at least a mini corps and grow from there?

I say go for it! I remember the "20.th Maine Regiment" from the mid to late eighties.....and I always thought that it was so cool to have a corps from Maine. I really think you guys are due for it there....so, again, go for it!!! The more states that have a presence in the Activity....the better it is for the Activity overall.

    "Best Wishes" to you!!!

  8. You got it exactly right Bob. What say we put this to bed all and focus on the corps that made it? T-birds will be fine, we'll be at mini-corps. These same people govern Thunder and they aren't going anywhere. Lots of good stuff going on elsewhere. When people who weren't even involved start "explaining it", it's time to shut the thread down. It's all been said. What do you say Firesop1?

As I said in an earlier post......please everyone....."KEEP THE FAITH"!!! We are all very hurt about what has happened right now.....but, this is NOT THE END........"Lake Erie Thunder" is not finished......All things are possible "if you believe"!!!

    Our time will come.....

  9. Oh believe me I knew that he ain't done!!! And again I sensed.........no...... I know ..... that there are no quitters in Erie...just some support from an old drum corps guy who is passionate as well.....and it is too lol ....Cheers!!

Stanforj....you are absolutely RIGHT.....there ARE NO QUITTERS in "Lake Erie Thunder"!!! And, although I am heart broken that we have been called "inactive"....for now.....WE, "THUNDER", ARE NOT FINISHED.....Only "delayed".....for now.

To all my "THUNDER" Brethren....I love you all dearly....Please "KEEP THE FAITH".....For our "Journey" does not end here.......This is only the beginning.......So, LET'S Step out TOGETHER.........Keeping our eyes forever on the "Prize"!!!!

  10. The "Lake Erie Thunder" Drum & Bugle Corps is ACCEPTING MEMBERS in ALL AREAS for it's 2009 Inaugural Season!!! Come out and experience for yourself, why the "Thunder" is going to create a Thunder and Lightning Storm that has never been seen in the ranks of DCA! Not only do we have great music....but also a "steller" staff that is already bringing the "Thunder" to the next level of excellence. In addition, we have full lines of equipment for any and all who will choose to join us on what is already unfolding to be the adventure of a lifetime!!!

And our 2009 Production...."Lake Effect"....will show you that "ERIE" is the place to be for that "musical adventure".....

The "Lake Effect" will make it's presence known as follows:

    On the Waterfront

    Riders On the Storm

    The Four Elements

    Over the Rainbow

    Into the Storm

In addition, we already have "6 Shows" lined up for the upcoming season......where the newest "force of nature"......"Lake Erie Thunder" will make it's presence known to ALL!!!!

So, come join us for our next rehearsal camp #9 this Sat, May 16.th from 12 - 5 PM and Sun, May 17.th from 12 - 5 PM. In addition, this camp is DUES FREE for all who attend!!!!

The Rehearsal Camp will be held at:

    Iroquois High School

    4301 Main St.

    Erie, PA 16511

Come check us out and help us create the Drum Corps "Storm of the Century" that no one will ever forget!!!!!!!

  11. Enough of this other nonsense back to reality here.

Rehearsal is at 12pm sharp on Sunday May 3rd at Iroquis High School. Need people in all sections to complete what is already a really awesome nucleus! Come check us out. We're sure to blow your minds!

I can vouch for the "Blow Your Minds" part.....Oh, and all the rest, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
