  1. This was fun, but quite difficult because there are some shows I really hated to leave out!

    1. Santa Clara Vanguard 2018

    2.  Phantom Regiment 2006

    3. The Cadets 2013

    4. Blue Devils 2005 (not a typo...)

    5. Carolina Crown 2014

    6. Blue Knights 2015

    7. Bluecoats 2007

    8. Madison Scouts 2003

    9. Boston Crusaders 2004

    10. Blue Stars 2017

    11. Magic of Orlando 2002

    12. Crossmen 2012

  2. oh boy, another thinly veiled BD-bashing thread....lemme guess, all those that voted judging was poor are really saying how they feel about BD and their show and how it is scored:BARF...(Thanks ATLvet, too hilarious to not steal !!)

Umm...no one bashed the Blue Devils, in fact, YOU were the one that brought it up. It's really getting annoying how you try to turn every thread into a "Oh my, another way for people to bash BD" and I know that I'm not the only one around here that's getting annoyed by your attitude lately.

  3. One "down" year and everyone writes off Regiment as not being in the top 8, lol. Murf will be G7 + 1, probably Blue Stars.

I kind of thought this was funny, I'm surprised how many people are writing Phantom out of the top 8 after one down year, after being top 8 for 22 consecutive years (I had to go check lol). But, everyone has their own opinions.

  4. The Academy - 2009 - First show since moving to world class that really stood out to me.

Blue Devils - 2005 - Yeah, I'm in the minority that really likes this show.

    Blue Knights - 2006

    Blue Stars- 2008

Bluecoats- 2009 - Had a hard time on this one. 2007-2009 were all great.

    Boston Crusaders - 2009

Carolina Crown - 2009. Another hard one. I've loved every one of their shows from the last 6 years.

Cascades - 2005 - Other than 2009, I'm not very familiar with their other shows.

    The Cavaliers - 2009

    Colts - 2007

    Crossmen - 2006 - Very entertaining show.

    Glassmen - 2008

    Cadets - 2005

Jersey Surf - 2009 - Only show that I really know that well.

    Madison Scouts - 2008

    Mandarins - 2008

    Pacific Crest - 2007

    Phantom Regiment- 2008 - 2006 a pretty close second

    Pioneer - 2007

    Santa Clara Vanguard- 2008

    Spirit- 2009

    Troopers- 2009

  5. 1) "America's Corps" Captures Hearts: The Troopers, in only their third season back in action after a year on the inactive list, make Finals for the first time 1986. If not the top story of the year, this has to be the top "feel-good" story, IMO.

This was one of my favorite things from this season. I didn't start following drum corps until late 2005, so I wasn't incredibly familiar with the Troopers when they came back in 2007. I quickly became a big fan of them and went back and watched and listened to a lot of their older shows. I was pulling so hard for them this year. I was thrilled to see them back in finals, and hope that they continue to climb.

  6. 2007 is my favorite, I was a big fan of this show from the first time I saw it.

2008 is a close second, another great show.

2009 I've only seen this show on the fan network, but I really like what I see and hear this year.

2006 took a little time to grow on me, but in the end I really liked it.

    2005, same as 2006.

I haven't seen any shows before 2005 enough to rank them...I should go check some of those out.

  7. I don't think this is a bad show at all. Sure, it's definitely no Spartacus, and it's not one of their best shows to come around in recent years, but I think musically they are fantastic. It is one of my most played shows on my ipod from this year. I'm no visual expert, so I really can't comment too much on that. I do think though this this is one of the best top 12 from top to bottom that I have personally seen in quite a while. There is not one show in the current top 12 that I don't really like. Regardless of where PR ends up finishing on finals night, this will be one of those shows that I enjoy listening to for many years to come.

  8. I'd like to see Cadets beat BD, but I'm not sure if that will happen tonight. As for Phantom and Boston...I'm really hoping Phantom starts to turn it on and start moving up closer and closer to the top 6, but Boston has an awesome show this year. As much as I love Phantom, I am loving Boston this year and am glad to see them doing so well. I think it could go either way between the two of them tonight, but it will be very close either way.
