  1. Onto the show. It follows the story of a contender facing a champion boxer. The first movement is an introduction mid-way into the fight. The second movement is a flashback of sorts (battery heavy) that shows the contender training. I was watching the brass too closely to see the story line of the 3rd movement. 4th movement is the final show down between the contender and champion.

This show was amazing, especially in how early on it is in the season. The only problems I noticed were a few line issues while marching, and some brass issues with one or two attacks and cut-offs. But other than that, I think the Bluecoats could easily have a shot at the 'Ship.

Also, Definitely an amazingly and extraordianarily hard Contra part! Good thing is they nailed it! Also, at the end of the show, where the contender and champion face off, the boxers just sorta stood there. They don't know the last part yet, but the brass and drumline tell enough of the story!!!!!

Looking foward to see how they do in the season!

  2. Uhh, you must be living in a dreamworld or something. The Cadets have a history of having a great guard. Just because Crown has had one or two years of beating The Cadets in guard doesn't make them better all-of-a-sudden. I am not gonna make a prediction as to who will have a better guard this season because I haven't seen either guard, but if I were a betting man, I would probably have my money on Cadets.

So yeah, bout' that. I'm just basing a prediction. In fact, let me state for the record (here comes the bold) chances are many of our predictions are wrong. All we've seen is spring training clips, and that's nothing much to go by. Let's wait until we hear reviews on Sunday until we jump to conclusions.

  3. I'm very skepticel about Crown winning. Not because they are not an outstanding color guard, they are. It's just that The Cavaliers, and Cadets are just doing more stuff. While that isn't the only criteria used. It will be very difficult for Crown to overcome the difference in achievement that is inherent in their visual program between them and the groups above them.

Okay, that hit me hard. You're saying that the Cadets guard is better than Crowns?????????????

You ARE kidding me, right? Name me at least 3 reasons why Cadets guard is better then Crown. Please. Not bashing the Cadet's guard or anything, I just don't see how you can think they are better then Carolina.

  4. There is no way Phantom could have or should have taken the drum trophy in 2004 or 2005, SCV and Cadets were far too good both those years, and Phantom was especially dirty in 2004.

I agree. Way to dirty. Especially when you got shows like Santa Clara's around....they got back on it, definitley in 2006, with an AMAZING drumline, and I think there were some pretty mean drum licks last year too. I've heard a few clips, and these guys HAVE, yes, HAVE improved.
