You know, I think some people on other threads really need to read this and learn from it. At the end of the day, it isn't about medals, scores, or movement judges...it is about people sharing their love for such an incredible art form!!!

Flangan was definitely not on tonight. . .I was there about 7 rows back on the 50. . .lots of execution errors. . . I'm not sure who will win, but they definitely didn't do themselves any favors. Avon did hit. . .had 2 drops, but didn't connect with the audience like Flanagan did. It could be clsoe.
I say Flanagan with the GOLD by .7

Does anyone know SVC's music?
"The Blowers Daughter" by Damien Rice
And when is Corona not dirty? Their equipment book is CRAZY hard, but they are always dirty...just my opinion though.

I would agree...I saw the Cascades on replay just after their first regional...SHOULD NOT BE IN "A". They played it smart by not going to any other regionals...otherwise, they would have been bumped!
Fahrenheit and River City are both very strong...It will be interesting to see how these two fair against each other...they have been changing positions all year. Farenheit is much more musical and the show is more interesting, but River City has a super strong weapon line. Northgate will be on up there in the rankings as well...REALLY STRONG DESIGN and just a great show that I think will really stand out in the crowd. I will be interested to see how Bethel fairs...I personally don't think they are in the same league as some of the contenders, but that is just my opionion.
I also agree that if Interplay cleans it up some, they will be a definite top spot contender.
The great thing is, we don't have to wait that much longer to see how it all turns out. Best of luck to all units!!!

Bartram Trail has gone independent!
After some problems at Bartram Trail HS, the directors decided to go independent. They are now in the IA class under the name River City Independent....there of course new older people on there now though. There doing great btw! saw them in orlando this past weekend, surprised by there score it was awfully low but then all the IA scores were...stupid judges. They should make the IA finals easily.
Is the Scholastic AA Bartram Trail HS, that is competing is in FFCC, the same Bartram Trail from last year? If so, they haven't been scoring so well...staff change maybe?

So being the YouTube nerd that I am, I came across a video that I had to share...
The video is of Northgate Independent (yes, if it isn't obvious yet...I LOVE THIS SHOW). I normally don't like posting video links...but this one is an exception. About 3 minutes into the show (as the rifles are about to throw a five) the music cuts out. I am so impressed with the discipline of this group in how they keep going and finish strong!! I can't wait to see this live again in Atlanta.
I love moments like this in guard! It truly is a testament to the type of people that are involved with The Sport of the Arts.

Hey justgin...
I will be there. Would love to meet up and see the people behind the screenames. Hope your group has a great run this weekend...they are definitely one of my favorites.
Hopefully, I will also be able to write up a review...
See everyone there!

I agree...Farenheit and River City are going to be up there. I also think Northgate will be top 5, if not medal. Still a little confused on how Capella is so far up...but then again, maybe the judges are seeing something I am not. I also think Ars Nova is going to suprise some people.

Hahaha...I love your "peachy" and "sunshine". IMHO, I don't think these circuit board members should have made these deals...especially without giving the directors the right of refusal. In the "real world", this would never fly...copyright infringement and just poor decision making on the part of board members.
