This may be a case of felony theft of services. Have you contacted your local District Attorney for guidance. If they feel there's cause, they may point you towards either the FBI or Postal Inspectors.

MVE's last run at DCA may have been a reason why they started the 35 member rule, but that's for another discussion.
I wish them the best.
We had the numbers and passed DCA evaluation in 2006.Program was turned over to new Director and a bus accident on the way to a show exposed financial issues that killed the season.The re-organization has been geared to not repeat previous mistakes and to continue to improve.SDCA has been a very successfull venue for us,Sound Sport is a continuation of where we're going.We've made every committment we had for the past 3 years.DCA or DCI field corps,someday but there's more work needed to get to that level.

Ok so I know nothing about DCA except that its pretty much made up of all age corps. I was on the dci Facebook page and they announced that Pittsburgh would have a new corp by the name of mon valley express. I went to their website and got literally no information what-so-ever. From what I've learned on dcp is that they're probably competing in open class and that they used to be a DCA corp. Could anyone tell me more about them please? I'm considering auditioning but I need to know if they were any good and why they weren't active for a while and all that stuff. Thanks in advance!
DCA next year no, Sound Sport and continuing in SDCA yes.Sound Sport is the next step for us as we continue to grow.New Director Warren Adams and Staff Co-Ordinator Jonathan Lindley are now at the helm of the group.The re-organization started in 2009 with a new facility improved equipment and staff.We went back to our indoor roots and started performing in TIA and TRWEA guard shows as we grew and then joined SDCA. We've grown from 16 people to 32.We are growing each year and improving.Finances are stable and we just got 4 valve Contras from the Naval Academy.We still play G horns and will be playing the music of Jay Dawson.Its up to you to decide if you want to be a member. Please take the time to check them out.Also the website is under construction,Facebook was recently changed also so neither is completely up and ready.

Are you asking cost to participate in an open class corps for a season or the cost to run an open class corps for a season?
Student of mine is interested but parents will need to plan the expense.

Perhaps I'm a bit confused - why exactly would a casino be interested (let alone excited) to sponsor a youth education group?
Disclaimer: This is not to say that I'm not upset at what happened to the Glassmen. I have been a longtime drum corps fan, and was happy to see when they made their medal push not that long ago. I sincerely hope that they can right the ship.
I believe some corps benifit from casino money.Colts come to mind but not sure.Also the Canadian Casinos I believe had to give a portion to the non-profits when their bingos were negatively impacted.That included fire depts,arts group and such.

You can disclaim DCP six ways to Sunday, but the fact you encouraged this thread by moving it from FB to DCP leaves you open for further scrutiny. Reading through this thread, do you think the content complies with the DCP Terms of Use 5. Member Conduct? And further, to those of you that post about knowing this or knowing that about a registered sex offender,call the police and report it if you think there is something wrong. Let the police vet out if this person is breaking the Sex Offender Legislation in their state. Otherwise, you're no better than Joe Paterno and all the others that knew and decided not to call the police.
Sorry but Joe did report it and his superiors, with advise from counsel, did nothing,because the first time it was reported to the police,no charges were filed.'That' enabled the monster to continue for years until it hit the news.
In this 'sue happy' day and age if you tell and are wrong you're looking at a lawsuit,if you don't tell you're looking at a lawsuit.I have freinds who longer tech at schools because someone is always finding offense to what you say or do.Its insane.But the Boy Scouts,whether you like them or not,do have a system inplace.Adults get background checks, have online training for youth protection and documentation.All leaders are mandated to take a series of courses before being accepted as leaders.

Anyone want to trade their king 3b or 2b+ for my 6 month old 2b?
Also does anyone have an idea of how to make my 2b sound a bit darker and fuller? If i cant trade it i was thinking of getting a 51d (currently playing on a 12c) would this help me get the sound im looking for, or would it be too uncharacteristic? Thanx

We use a gibraltar clamp on the leg,run a pipe from it to the center under with a rubber insulator to hold the the handheld mic.The mallet bag in front of the player reduces the extra sounds from behind the player.The player also wears a lapel mic,mid chest, to pick up the sounds from where they are playing.

Just to clarify, i was posting this to get a ballpark fair value, not to sell them on here (though im not opposed to it) All the horns are Dynasty and from the 70's Madison Scouts if that matters, thanks to those that posted helpful info. I've sold a Sop Bari and French horn (playable good condition) to some of my fellow members that offered me 100 each which was why I was posting this because I didn't want to inadvertently rip anyone off (or undersell if they were worth like a fortune or something ;-)) again thanks for the info, I hope to have them professionally restored one day finds permitting to preserve their history. Anyhoo, peace out!
Check the completed items on Eaby for bugles.You will get an idea what people are paying, add the shipping to the final value.Time of the year is valuable since people will sell cheap at the end of a season and pay more when a group is gearing up.

From my own experience of having Identity theft by a trusted family friend and my own work with the court system, don't wait.The fact that money was diverted to another person is a red flag.File the charges, if the person makes good you can always drop them.
