I just checked out the scores from tonights show in Orlando and Crown just beat the Cadets. ITS ABOUT DANG TIME!!! Seriously, that narration was getting old and annoying. I'm glad to see a corps like Crown, who marches and plays well, beat up on the Cadets. AMAZING. Now back to your regular scheduled program
-
sitting in 8th place and less than a point from the top spot. i just have this hunch that this season is going to be very close until the very end!
-
I agree with that 100%. THEY ARE ON FIRE!!!!!
-
Wow, what a great show last night! I thought we would pull out the W for our 2nd victory of the season but we came up just short. I am sensing a little rivalary between The Corps of Unspecified Identity and Minnesota Madness. That past few shows between these two corps have been uber close with The Corps of Unspecified Identity, I think, taking both shows in front of my Minnesota Madness.
I'm glad to hear the crowd is enjoying our show but The Corps of Unspecified Identity deserved the gold medal tonight. They are on fire and performing really well. Congrats to your corps. This should be a very interesting rest of the week heading into the regional in Kansas City.
I know we have a few rehearsal days this week so hopefully we can clean our show to finally take the gold and stop the winning streak of The Corps of Unspecified Identity. The corps is very excited!

I will go with what NMP said, if you need anything, Minnesota Madness will do what we can to help your coprs out! Tonight should be an excellent compeition. I know our corps is looking forward to it and they are also enjoying their first season on tour. I think this is our first look at Nastalgia Vanguard tonight as well. Wow, what a great day for drum corps!!!!!!
Thanks for the offer! Our corps should get together for ice cream after the show tonight. We've been so close in competition this year. Looking back at the scores I realized Nastalgia Vanguard was at the East Lansing show where we earned our first win of the season. We earned the gold and you guys the silver both then and at the show last night... I smell a friendly rivalry brewing here! -
I am logged in or I would not be able to post to the discussion forums. I guess not a big deal. I just kind of wanted to look at my captions to see where I need to improve the most and I think that is visually so I just wanted to rearrange some things to better my corps because we ARE ON A ROLL!!
-
I like the reviews of those shows man. Great writing. Thank you for that. Keep up the good work.
Quick question, I need to change a few captions but I am struggling on finding where they are located on the page. Can somebody direct me to that? Thank you very much.
And finally Minnesota Madness broke the 80 barrier. The hard work in rehearsal is paying off. I think the crowd and judges are liking the show but the visual needs to get cleaner. We are D I R T Y!
-
I am stoaked. I got my first DCP-I win EVER. I was sitting in 6th place at prelimes at the IL regional and came back strong on finals night. The hard work is paying off and the corps is getting the credit they deserve. What weekend for MN Madness! This pumps up the corps for the 2nd tour and has a lot of momentum going into the 2nd tour.
-
Good luck to all the corps tonight in the first regional of the year. From looking at the scores..this should be a very close competition and that should follow throughout the rest of the summer!
Also, Happy 4th of July to everybody out there. I hope you all enjoy drinking beverages of choice, bbqing with friends and family, and bringing out that pyro in you.

I am going to the Stillwater show, Mankato show, Madison Regional, and the Coon Rapids show. It kind of helps that I am in those shows with MBI!!! Wish I could afford to go to Finals. Oh well.

Kosmos has spent the last 2 weeks working HARD at UD Stadium- they've got all of their drill on the field, now we just need to go back and do some cleaning and finish up the guardwork. The defending champs are looking GOOD this season.

Minnesota Madness is getting ready to hit the road here in a few days. The show A Tribute to Chick Corea, MnM style, is all on the field. Every days are pretty much over with. Rehearsals are just chunking the show to just get the flow of it down and what not. The corps is very excited to begin it's first season of competition in the D-1 level and feels it can make a huge impact and make finals this year. Lofty goal for a first year corps but I feel they can achieve that goal. The hornline is putting out some sound like none other. The drumline is throwing down some killer beats and the guard is doing pretty well with the work we have thrown at them. Not the cleanest but that is what rehearsal and shows are for to clean up every day.
We will be leaving for Rockford on Saturday sometime, get down there a day earlier than planned. Get some good rehearsal down there and be pretty prepared for our first show. The gas prices will be tough to deal with but the corps has done a lot of fundraising and got some pretty sweet sponsers here in the Twin Cities area.
But good luck to all and see you all on the road! It is going to be a kick ### season

go to www.drumcorpsfantasy.com, then scroll down and it will be on the left side bar. Then just click on the dates, and it will bring up each show for that day.
On my schedule I signed up for the Hershey, PA, show but when I went to go look, my corps was not at that show. Any reason why? Not a big deal but yeah!! Let me know

Have you ever seen/heard the Blue Devils' 1994 show? Possibly the best drum corps show of all time, and they did Chick Corea and had Day Danse and Night Streets in their show.
yeah, i have heard that show. My current brass caption head at MBI marched BD 94 and this year we are playing Night Streets. What a tune to play. It is pretty wicked but amazing. I will have to agree with you that it is ONE of the best shows ever.
-
Since I am a huge fan of Chick Corea or that style of music, this year's show will be that style. I want to try and get that jazz and latin flavor into the show.
Show Tunes:
Tune #1: Celebration Suite
Tune #2: La Fiesta
Tune #3: Day Dnse
Tune #4: Night Streets
Tune #5: One More Time Chuck Corea
Visual Hearing:

Tune #3: can not find any video's..sorry

I'm trying to get my uniform design on here, too, but I am struggling with this so if anybody can tell me how to get that on here, that would be awesome.

I started a topic for this but wrong area. WHOOPS!! I saw this show 3 times this year up here in Minnesota and at the Madison Regional and wow, what a show. They march well, THEY PLAY LOUD AS HELL, their guard is clean, percussion is throwing down clean beats!!! Amazing corps who deserves this. Underrated corps in my opinion. I can not wait till finals to see how they stack against PR, SCV, BD, and Cavies. CONGRATS CROWN!!!!!
