I do believe they knocked off BDB last summer and had a healthy margin on them before the tour ended.

It wasn't what many would call a healthy margin. They outscored BDB by .5 (86.5 to 86.0) at their last head to head. From then on SCVC's scores dropped each sequential show, finishing with 82.85, While BDB's only increased throughout the season.

Scouts fans, have no fear. This guy (John) is amazing. Leadership, conducting, passion, and knowledge are all top notch. I can guarantee this corps will place higher this year. That is how fine of a leader he is.

Blue Devils B just had a workshop last weekend. They showed tremendous momentum from last year and sound as if they would be ready to start the season now. As long as their members don't grow complacent, they should take the title once again.

As for the rest of the results, I can not guess, for last year's final results were very unexpected. I do have hunch that Capital Regiment will be up there though.

[Finals Predictions]

1. Blue Devils B- 120+ members including tons of vets. They've been improving every year, and there's only one more spot they can move up.

2. Oregon Crusaders- Another corps that's improving. Should be a good year for them.

3. Teal Sound- They'll work hard this year, especially since it could be there last in open class. They want a medal.

4. Capital Regiment- They were a solid Div. 1 corps a few years ago. Give them some time and they could be at the top.

5. Vanguard Cadets- Championship corps seem to struggle the following year. Strong program, but history doesn't want them to win.
