  1. Do you guys know who I might talk to to get a copy of a picture someone took of our crew (Chris or Greg, I think) back then [2004]? It was cycling in your picts *three years ago* post parade, but I can't find it in your site archives now. Shame on me for not asking sooner. :)

If you can help, I'll give you more details about the pict I remember!

Sooooo ... no one can help me track down a copy of the picture? Don't mean to be a pest ... my bad for not asking a few years ago.

... just curious if someone can help. B)

    Thx.

  2. Excellent ... thinking back to our trek out a few years back to march with you. What a blast! I can't believe it will be three years already.

  3. I really enjoyed the post that called some of our members "large". We prefer the term phat-ast in the Govies. The thing that is related to that reply is the problems the large mammered woman in the picture had strapping on that monstrosity.

    Thanks, JS. b**bs

I have to admit, what you wrote here is exactly what crossed my mind when I read the post about our "large" performers. Chesticles aside, I think the horn makes me look thin. I know this is looking ahead, but I might just wear one of those to banquet next year.

  4. Smoothy, I just have to search you out at Patricks during the St. Peter show next year and buy you a beer.

    C'mon folks.

Heya, Curt ... I'd be happy to introduce you two. I keep thinking you and Roark have to meet, as well, as your stories are similar ... coming back to drum corps and marching after an extensive hiatus. B)

And to the rest of you getting worked up over the great picture S1 posted?

I know a great oboe player I'd love to have march with us too.

  5. Cant wait for next year...it might just be Tremendous

    That's a TREMENDOUS idea!! :)

Pictures will be posted very very soon.

. . . . . still waiting! I would use caution though. I mean, look what a buzz kill the other B.S. pictures were when they were posted ... on the TREMENDOUS Thread! b**bs

Sorry I didn't get around to giving you a call after we caught up at the grill. When I got back to where the rest of the Tremendous gang had been hanging out, most folks had dispersed to bars around town or back to the camp ground. Burt and I headed back to the camp ground as well for more Schell's, a few toasted marshmallows and s'mores, some fire juggling (however .. not naked, like last year), A LOT of good laughs . . . . . and a few more Schell's!!

  6. Well, our first priority is getting tents set up in the dark. Some people will likely try to hit the bars after getting settled into the campsite. We usually plan on hitting the South Festgrounds on Saturday night for our Annual Corps Banquet! . . . . that follows our Annual Corps Meeting at the camp ground, which follows the Annual OktoberFest Parade. You get the idea. :)

What I am trying to say is that it may be hard for all of us to make plans with all of you tonight, unless you want to take the shuttle across the river to Pettibone! :P

Saturday day or night is a much better bet for hanging out and helping us celebrate our victory over you!

  7. John M! Better hurry up, the drumlines that are leading

retreat are proceeding without you in front of them!

Oh what shall they do without their Tremendous DM

    always leading them?

    :music:

As much as John is a ... well ... spokesperson, if you will, for Tremendous Blast, he is not the Drum Major. You may be reflecting back upon John's days leading another amazing Midwest drum and bugle corps.

The Tremendous Corps Director is no other than the funny, the witty, the charismatic ... the infamous Burt Madsen!! :worthy:

  8. I'll dance with ya John . . . as long as we don't end up in some weird bunny hop / congo line again this year.

And I'll try not to be hungover before our banquet starts. <**>

You might be surprise, WannaBeTubaMan, John might even be able to sweep you off your feet with his extreme polka talent.

    *phew*
