Camp Randall?

I could send you some of the snare parts I had in high school in 1984, but I think you probably want something a little more "drum corps like".
Any music available is a bonus. The more music I can get my hands on the better, if you can send them, that would be brilliant.

Hi,
I am looking to start learning to read drum music. There isnt much out there that targets the marching snare, most of its kit stuff. I want to learn to read drum music so I can join my corps drumline next year on snare.
If anyone has any simple literature that I can use to progress with, then it would be very appreciated if you could share.
Thanks in advance,
Will.

Well, we have 3 valve Soprano's and Flugels, but 2 valve baritones and contra.
Because its a new corps, we have set up, its not the highest level. I'd say novice.
Thanks for your help it's much appreciated.

Hi there,
I wondered if anybody out there had a full brass score for Ode to joy that they would be willing to donate.
Oh also, the hornline is in G.
We have our first ever gig that the band has ever played in march, and they have asked us to play Ode to Joy.
Thanks,
Will.

can anyone tell me the fingerings for a normal G-bugle scale?
I need to find out for 3 valved, 2valved and 1valved.
Also, if you could tell me a bit more about the diffrence between a G-bugle and a Bb instrument???
I am trying to set up a hornline, but we have G's, which we wanted to go on, because we wanted to capture the traditional drum corps sound.
At the minute i am in a corps that plays Bb instruments so know nothing about G's!
Cheers,
Will.

I used to play trumpet in my corps, and used to REALLY tilt my head back. I now play baritone, and it has got better but my head still isnt streight. I no it sounds spazzy, but i wondered if anyone could help me out???

The other day, I gave my Baritone a bath, gave it a really good clean.
But now it seems to have an airy sound to it?? Like somethings not right??
Wondered if anyone could help me with this...
Cheers.

I was under the assumption that most horn players on this site have silver plated or chrome plated horns. My bad.
Not sure if the microfiber cloth will damage Laquer without polish but, this is the same type of cloth I use on my LCD TV which is NOT glass. Just sayin.........
No worries, thanks for advice.

Does it matter is then horn is in gold???
I dont think my corps directors would be too happy if i took it the lacquer off..

I found this of Madisson Scouts smashing a judge... at about 2.55, watch the front man leading the brass line in front of snares.
Individual Piece HELP!

Hi there,
I am thinking about competing in an individuals competition, but havent got a clue where to start. I want something that will show of my tone etc, can anybody help/advise me of a piece of music that would be best for a baritone solo.
I'm thinking either classical or jazz (I know they're two contrasting genres)
Cheers,
Will.
