[Carolina Crown 2013]

There's some Rolling Thunder in here, their parade tune (I think), and a couple of other things. I have to say, those guys at the beginning have some serious singing chops. Great arranging too.

This video just goes to show how great these guys (as well as any other ensemble that performs at TOC shows) are at performing, no matter what the task (drum corps show, small ensemble, singing quartet).

Thanks for sharing this!! Those are some very talented PERFORMERS and I could listen to them all day. Just superb!

For those folks using Windows and IE, I had to right-click and choose Properties. You can then use the mouse to select the URL to copy/paste into the Insert Image pop up.

I don't know why the options to copy links/shortcuts were grayed out.

That's exactly what I had to do. After a lot of trial and error, I figured that out. Thanks for the info, though.

Interesting problem. Try and place them in vertical alignment? So after each image code, just click enter once or twice to put a space between them.

IF you're on a Mac, try Copy Image Address. Then when you get to your sig, click the insert image icon on top. Paste it in, and you should get it to pop up

Sorry for being such a bother. I was able to get one banner on my profile. However, when I tried to add two, it placed them adjacent to one another and not on top of each other like everyone else's. Any suggestions there to fix that?

Thanks for the comments regarding the percussion section. I'm just trying to get a handle on the scoring process. I hope Crown can continue to work hard and clean their product. I understand the need for consistency and hopefully they willl find the right mixed to continue to make that happen.

What is it that Crown needs to do to improve their Percussion scores? I am sure the kids are very talented amd they workm extremely hard. Is it the instruction that they are getting? Is it the written musical book that they are given to play? What is it? It seems like every year we see this same thing, the brass achieving very high and the percussion is lacking far behind. It would seem that the music judges would reflect some of the perc weaknesses in their scores as well. I dont get it. Anybody wanna shed some light on this?

How much does the front ensemble play into the overall percussion score? There is never talk of them, always the field battery. Can anyone clue in a non percussionist?

Great show last night!!! All of the corps are on fire this year. A Lot of surprises but it is still early. I like this type of season.....lots of shake up and tightness between groups. The top 4 groups can all take the title. This is exciting!!

The thing I find most hard to understand is the 3 point spread between Crown and Scouts. Madison is once again marching a junior high school level of demand barely worthy of top 12. I suppose a name is more important than achievement. Scatter drills as an excuse for visual not very demanding.

Good to see Spirit of Atlanta back in the mix of things. They are really working hard and it is paying off. I cant wait to see this year's group!! I wonder if it is anything like the "old" Spirit that we once knew?
