Rain in Wyoming? Are you kidding me. We haven't had rain in weeks. Dang it! It was great to meet up with some fellow Troopers and get caught up. Feeling a bit disappointed.

I did get to see Cascades practice. You know? Those kids work hard. Loved the music and the prop on the field. Looking forward to seeing the full show. They had quite the spectator crowd on the hill watching. Casper is Drum Corps. I got to meet a parent who met up with the corps in Utah and will go to Yellowstone after tonight's show. First time in Wyoming. Good people. Best of luck tonight Cascades!

I feel like I'm talking to myself.

It's hot in Casper today. 96 for a high. Should cool down by showtime.

Are the Mercy Farms Pie Shoppes there in Wyoming? I enjoyed my trips to Casper and Cheyenne with visits there.
Not that I know of. Try Johnny J's diner for pies.

The season is a lot more fun when your winning. This is, after all, a competitive activity.

I remember when conductors were called drum majors. Sigh.

I must admit I love the corps, marched in the corps and love the corps. I heard the music last night at the standstill and seen video and pics of the field show. I believe they have made questionable design choices over the past couple of years beginning with the uniform. I know, I know they must adapt to the environment to be competitive. But looking at the recaps they are strong in music and tanking in visual. After talking with a few of my judge friends who have seen the show the tarps are but one of a few issues. I look forward to seeing them tomorrow night. Unlike the Madison thread where several Scout brothers are abandoning the corps because of the direction, I will stand side by side with the Troopers even if I have to close my eyes.

Going to watch rehearsal this afternoon. The corps is performing at the rodeo tonight. (How Wyoming)
I've heard some changes to the show are in store. Don't count out The Troopers just yet, this 54 year old fanboy hasn't.

Just got back from tonight's standstill. Wow. Troopers sound great! My goodness those kids can play. Shout out to the lead trumpets. I'm really looking forward to seeing the show on Friday night. I do miss the old "sheep wagon" souvie stand but there was a tent set up. I got my T-shirt. I'm good to go.

Troopers are performing tonight at 7:00 at Fort Caspar. Who's going?

There are only a few of those classic shows remaining on the schedule. For any true drum corps fan, Casper is one of the greatest. How many remarkable shows have been performed here? I remember all of the corps that are no longer with us and the newer corps who strive for perfection. All here in Casper. A smallish stadium by today's standard will be filled with some of the most drum corps savvy people just waiting for that right moment to erupt into applause. Casper does love the Troopers but, what's even cooler is Casper loves drum corps. I for one will be driving around town hoping to catch a glimpse of a corps rehearsing at one of the local schools. I hope to attend some of the "welcome home" events for the Troopers. I will be one of those cheering fans at Natrona County High School stadium. Good luck to all of the corps.

One thing I will say about Troopers... the bad tarps distract from those freakin' hideous uniforms.

How much weight is given to technical issues? Or is it benefit of a doubt?

Troopers score seems to be climbing lately. I hope the trend continues.

Another nice jump for Troopers.
