Don't forget Kiwanis Kavaliers. They moved there and got their equipment stolen and have yet to come back from that.

With Hoppy in charge I would say the Cadets will.

Please add one for the Freelancers????.....Thanks so much....
I second a banner for Freelancers and 1 for VK too.
I suggest 1 for Impulse and So Cal Dream.

Yeah, I heard that was because Knights were trying to recruit from other corps during the season, not for being mean to judges
Of course Knights were recruiting for Satan’s minions, a subset of the KISS (Knights In Satan’s Service )Army
Can I get a sign of the devil
Thank ya
much love

I heard that the Masons and the Renegades are plotting to form Drum Corps of the New World Order (DCNWO) which is a new circuit that will eventually rule all drum corps. The number 7 is a symbol of their power and intentions.

blow your balls off
I hope Michael works that acronym into a future article for DCI.org.

This thread is worthless without a pic of the logo.

The members did not know, and neither did the staff.
I believe that. You don't announce layoffs until the day they happen. They had to keep the morale up so they could finish the season.

I have a few questions about Star's current status.
Is Star still a non profit or have they gone corporate?
Are their any age requirements? If so what are they?
Do the members still pay due or are the paid?
Did they reach their organizational goals when changed from a DC to their new form?
What precludes the from having two units, one for Blast and one on the field?

Hot dog corps - Corps whose boring or un-entertaining shows elicit spectators to go walk out and go get a hot dog during said show.

And baloney & processed cheese.
This went by the quaint name of "Horse #### and binder."
I have heard of #### on a shingle but never that.

My first experience was going to the 1986 DCW show at Cerritos College. I was 10 then and I only went because a parent took me. I don't recall enjoying it because I wanted to be playing with my legos. I really regret that because I love the 86 BD show. I wish now that I would have taken in the moment.
Fours later during the band camp in the summer before my Freshman year my section leader who had just came back from marching with the Freelancers showed me a recording of the 1990 Freelancers semifinals show. As a freshman bando dork I thought that was awesome. I have been a corps nut since that day.

I say they do a Star Wars show. I am not joking. Think of all the killings you could do. A member could dress in a black DM uniform and be Lord Vader (and he could die in the end) and the corps in white would be the clone/stormtroopers.
All joking aside the music is spectacular. The movies were designed to be a type of Space opera. The music itself is very audience accessible and was written by John Williams using a technique used by Wagner to score a theme for each character. He had nods to Stravinsky and Holst in the scoring. There is a lot to choose from but they could to the following to tell the story in chronological order:
Main Star Wars theme
Duel of the Fates
Binary Sun Theme (quite moving)
Cantina band (prec feature)
Imperial March
Rebel Fanfare (very prominent at the end of Episode IV)
They could even use the 20th Century Fox theme too.

In Salt Lake gas is 3.89 for 85 octane and 87 over 4 bucks for 87.

Freelancers.
It figures a VK alum would mention the Freelancers. LOL
You are right though. They have a drum line, a guard, and no horns.
-
So who is filling the position?
-
Well, there's always "more to come" in politics.
After we have a status meeting with Dave Gibbs, and determine a course of action, we'll be posting the next steps we need to take.
Again, THANK YOU for everyone who's helped out so far, and we're counting on your support in whatever the next phases are.
I propose a 'march' on Sacramento by the affected corps to blow down the capital walls Jericho style.
Seriously, they need to see who this may affect.

How about the VK shark?

Back in 99 in a show in Logan, Utah the announcer was announcing DCI's website dci.org. But instead of saying d-c-i dot o-r-g, he said 'd-c-i dot orgy. Not only did he do it once he did it when he announced the corps' websites. Each time he did it a bunch of people people snicked and some audibly laughed. It was funny.

Fiberglass sousaphones sound as bad as they look. It figures Stanford would play them. Go Bruins.
WTF?
Even though the uni is cool you can't look good with a pic or with a flip folder hanging off your wrist. BTW, where is the head gear?

Now we need to get the Bluecoats to bring back the really long "mullet" plumes that went half way down their backs from several years ago.
You mean these ones?

Hopkins, in the end zone, with the electrical cable.
Oh snap! That was good.

I started hanging out on RAMD back in 1999 when my wife and I went away to school. I had a lot of fun and made some net friends (and enemies). I also learned a lot from people there. When I started on RAMD, Napster had just came out and there was a large selection of mp3s available. I spent all of my free time downloading them and even received nasty letter from DCA about it. I remember those good days fondly.
Colts in Presidential Inauguration Parade?
in DCI World Class Corps Discussions

Other than the Troopers in 1993 and 2001 can anybody remember other corps who march in an inaugural parade?
