And I don't really care about placements. So....go Troll on someone else's post.
You may not, but the staff does.

Are you sure you're not Japs from the BD board? I've yet to see you post anything remotely complementary about anyone...
I've sticken up for atleast 3 corps. Madison and BD in particular.
-
Amen.
Seriously? If anything that uniform will cause them to go down a couple spots. Definitely NOT generally effective

Hardcore band uniform lol

They didn't have Klesch.
They still have awesome shows. More so than crown.

While the whole concept of the show can come off as cheesy and immature, it is impossible for Michael Klesch to make a cheesy or bad arrangement of something. That guy is a genius.
I said the same thing about cavaliers.. but then i saw their 2009 show.

just like it should have been CC in 2009....
Please, lets not start that discussion again..

It was so nice and warm in here, until you came along with a bucket of cold water. Jeesh, thanks for ruining the moment.
Someone pee in your cornflakes or something?
All im saying, is anyone could do it if they were determined enough.

I think Troopers making top 12 instead of BK is nowhere based in reality, but that's just me.
Typo. Thanks

Yup, most entertaining Cavies show in history IMO.
I thought Machine was better
But it doesnt matter.. Both were awesome!

Its called a thin sound.
Doesn't seem very thin to me. Not bad for the first day.

To the rookies on DCP:
Just log out for the summer. Do your thing on tour. Chances are this site will just bring you frustration. People, myself included, will have their opinions, but better to just keep working and prove them (us?) wrong, please resist the temptation to jump in and get defensive.
We were specifically instructed to stay off the boards lol.. Needless to say, we did it anyways. And some of the predictions did frustrate us, but at the same time we knew some of them were silly, and had no chance of happening.

I saw it live 5 times. last 3 they were in front of me, but the amps aimed in.
Regardless, It doesn't make it any less than a high G. Audience ate it up. Standing ovs. One or two peoples opinions isn't going to effect anything

I have no affiliation with the Blue Devils other than a few friends who play and tech with them. Nonetheless, it is really getting annoying hearing the general DCI public making the entire corps out to be selfish, arrogant terds hell bent only on winning. The people in that organization worked their respective butts off and have earned everything they have gotten. As far as their 2010 show, there is no such thing as bad music, just familiar and unfamiliar. If you don't like it fine, but don't try to take away anything from what they accomplished. Be respectful. As far as cockiness goes, if you were a two time defending world champion you would be very proud as well.
Closed minds should be accompanied by closed mouths. In general, it's time to move on.
If you have been paying attention to the BD threads, you'd see that everyone who was at the family show have been on BDs nuts ever since they saw the show. If anything people are talking about how they'll go undefeated again and how amazing it is. Stop jumping to conclusions. Yeah i know what it's like for people to hate on your shows b/c its different, but you'll learn that the better you are, the more haters you will have. Thats what it was like my first 3 years of drum corps. Just gonna have to learn how to deal with it. Bro.

As we all know, many many changes are made to each show during the summer. And anyone who has been around corps knows how rehearsals go. Repeatedly performing the same bars of music/drill over and over again. Now here is the thing that always gets me, is how they can put in something new for the show into the rehearsals, but then go out that night, and perform the old parts of the show. This simply amazes me. Once they have put in the changes during the rehearsal, it must be extremely difficult to now just automatically go back to the previous drill/music the next time they perform the show. As we all know, it is difficult teaching drill and music to students with the difficulty level that corps perform at. It is also difficult when parts of the show change after they have already rehearsed something different 200 times. But I am always amazed when you go to rehearsal, and seeing a change put in, but that night, they are able to block out all the new information just learned over the last couple of days, and still be able to perform the old show to that level of performance is nothing short of amazing. I'll be honest, I am not sure I would have been able to do this without making tons of mistakes. It just goes to show the high talent and intelligence level of these young members of these corps.
Here's hoping for a great year, full of wonderful and exciting changes. And thank you in advance to all the hard work from the members, staff and volunteers who give us all so much excitement and joy throughout the summer.
Its not that hard

Really? Cause they went from 1st to 9th in one year, why can't they go from 6th to 10th?
10th place is a real possibility if you ask me. I don't think it will happen, but it certainly could.
Agreed
I'm sure that was a record drop. lol

A few of the predictions on here are respectable
Others are just plain laughable.
This is more of a wish list than a prediction thread

well you heard it if your seats were within the amps range
read above comment, Sir.

Double Gs are awesome. Three guys ripping double Gs are awesome. Three guys playing double Gs into a microphone, not awesome.
1) its not like squeaked it out so they could be heard. They had laser solid Gs.
2)They had standing Os at every show. (atleast the ones i was at)
3)I know the staff had their reasons for doing it. Im sure they knew the audience would throw babies at them during the segment, so they made it to where they could be heard.
You guys need to stop hating on them. They know what they're dong. And i'm sure they honestly didn't care how you guys would feel about mic'ing the feature, seeing as how this is an EXTREMELY small portion of their fan base on this board. (if there are any)

I like BDs new uniforms. Now they look like a really really good BOA band.

It is not.. it is WAY worse.
Most of the TOC corps even hate what they are being asked to do.
How so?

They DO have problems. Have you marched corps? Because that makes a big difference in understanding whats going on.
