The Muchachos Drum and Bugle Corps of Manchester, NH has an immediate opening for a brass instructor for the 2018 season.
Formerly a junior corps in the '60s, '70s and early '80s, today's Manchester Muchachos is an all-age, DCI-affiliated corps that performs a field show in exhibition at Boston-area DCI shows. Members range in age from 14 to 70+ and consist of seasoned veterans as well as new brass players.
If you are interested in working with a wonderful group of individuals in a great family atmosphere, please send an email to muchachos.org (at) gmail.com. Rehearsals are generally every other Sunday and are located in and around Manchester, NH. Because membership in the Manchester Muchachos is open to youth under the age of 18, potential members, staff, and volunteers who are 18 or older must undergo a background check. This is a part-time, paid (stipend or per diem) position.

All-Ages (14+) Manchester Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corps is holding an Open House this Sunday, February 9th, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Brady-Sullivan Tower, Manchester, NH.
Openings in all sections: brass, percussion, guard. Especially seeking LEAD and 2ND sopranos (trumpets) and LEAD and 2ND baritones.
The Corps performs a field show in exhibition at DCI World and Open Class shows. Low tuition. All instruments and equipment provided. Great instructors!
Now is a great time to join! Members come from New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. Stop by and check out the Corps this Sunday or any rehearsal day (usually every two weeks).

The Muchachos All-Age Drum & Bugle Corps of Manchester, NH will be holding an open house for prospective members on Sunday, November 3rd, from 12:30 PM to 5 PM at Brady-Sullivan Tower, 1750 Elm St., Manchester.
If you can't make November 3rd, come to any rehearsal. The corps performs a field show in exhibition at DCI World and Open Class shows and occasionally a DCA show.
All ages 14+ and low cost. New members always welcome!

The 2013 Manchester Muchachos is seeking additional brass players to join our growing drum corps! We'll be fielding a full percussion section this summer, along with a good-sized front ensemble and growing guard. This is a great time to be in the Manchester Muchachos!
The Corps performs a field show in exhibition at DCI World and Open Class shows, and occasionally at a DCA show. We play "G" bugles: sopranos (trumpets), mellophones, baritones, contra basses (tubas). The Corps supplies all instruments and equipment.
Come join a solid horn line of experienced players. Visit us at our Open House this Sunday, February 10th, 12:30 PM to 5 PM at Brady-Sullivan Tower, 1750 Elm Street, Manchester, NH. Play with us for the day for FREE! If you have a mouthpiece, please feel free to bring it.
The Corps is currently rehearsing the show's opener, "El Toro Caliente," and the show's closer. :)

Thanks for the suggestion!
DCI and some of the drum corps with large fan bases on Facebook posted to their walls the last day of the contest (yesterday). Unfortunately, the Muchachos came in a close 4th place, out of prize money. Next time!

2012 will be the 6th year that the Manchester Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corps hosts its annual show "Fiesta de Musica". The show, a DCI Open Class competition, is the only one of its kind, that is held year after year, in New England. It's a much-needed venue for these Open Class corps.
Please support the Muchachos in their support of Open Class corps by voting for them in this Facebook contest today AND tomorrow. 1st and 2nd place prizes are $5,000 each, with the 1st place winners receiving 2 gift cards. 3rd place, which the Corps is currently in, receives $1,000.

I have bottle caps that I saved. I voted once and went back in to vote again and all I could get was a " thank you for voting". I'm not sure but maybe we can only vote once using bottle capa? I have two more and will try again tonight. I don't give up that easily...

I voted for me: 1983 Garfield Cadets mellophone section. I still have Rocky Point going through my head!
I think you should divide this poll up by decades. The demand, make up, arrangements, and approach to the mello have changed over time.
And I am going to give a write in vote for Jim Prime Jr. No he isn't exactly a mello section, but it was his arrangements and those of his students such as Michael Klesch that allowed the mellos of Cadets, Star, and many others to soar. Nowadays lots of mello lines are 'running while running' so to speak, but Jimmer was writing that cool $% decades ago. Those runs in Rocky Point Holiday in 83' rocked my world. My trumpet became a second class citizen and I been a Mello to the bone ever since.
