1. The White Sabers and Director Leslie Amico, are pleased to announce their design team for the 2013 DCA Season. Continuing on as Program Coordinator and Brass Arranger is Ben Chaffee, the glue that has kept the Sabers staff together for the last 7 years. The Battery will be written again by Austin Jabault and the pit by Taylor Eddinger. Both of these gentlemen are Saber and DCI Alumni and bring a great deal of energy and new thinking to the percussion caption. Stephanie Waugh returns to pen the Guards' rep assisted by Kelsey Soeffing. A new addition to the Sabers this coming year will be our Drill Writer, Ziggy Delgado. Ziggy was the drill designer and visual coordinator for the Fusion Drum and Bugle Corps in 2007-2008, 2010-2011. While he was there the corps made A class finals 3 times, won the DCA Class A championship in 2010, were runners up in 2008 and 2011, and won the Class A high visual titles in 2008 and 2010. He also writes for several successful band programs in NJ. With the design team in place and many tech positions already filled the Sabers are excited about beginning the 2013 season. So stop on down November 25th to our Open House and meet our staff and administration. You'll be glad you did!
 2. I'm working on that today. I hope to get things updated real soon.

 4. Hi Everyone, So, as some of you may already know, last year I got involved again with Drum Corps as a consultant with the White Sabers. Well, I kinda just stuck my toe in the water and never really went in all the way. But now I'm ready to get soakin wet. After hanging around last year and helping out when I could, I found out that the folks who run this corps are as unbelievably caring and hard working as any. Rehearsals were fun and productive. Socially I had a great time with a bunch of real good, down to earth people. The Sabers made the finals in Annapolis. Now they are ready to make the commitment to win Class A. what do they need? YOU!!!!! That's right, this is a recruiting letter. Do you want the chance to win a championship? Then BE THERE! The administration and staff are prepared to make this, their year. They are already taking the steps necessary to achieve these goals. Hiring more staff, looking at Bb horns, and appearing at DCA's best shows. I'm going to be a big part of this and I hope you will consider the same. Open House is set for November 25th. It's not that far off, so write it down and save the date. An A class corps can only have 65 members so BE THERE and BE A WHITE SABER!!!!!! Mike

The following day, November 25th, at the Livingston County Municipal Building, they will welcome back old and prospective new members to begin the 2013 campaign, with what hopes to be their most succesful Open House. All are invited on Sunday with times and addresses to be posted on the corps website. Things are happening in Southern NY. Come on down and see for yourself!!
 7. The White Sabers are proud to announce that Don Allen, WDCHOF member, and mentor to Ben Chaffee, has joined the Sabers as a consultant. We are hoping that Don's expertise will be what we need to get us where we want to go. Welcome aboard Don.
 8. The White Sabers have set up a scholarship for members going, or in college. Here's how it will work.

Eligibility- Members in college or entering that season are eligible. One per section (CG, Perc, brass). Each caption head will select two members based on attendance, dedication and work ethic. The admin will then make the final decisions, and it will be announced DCA weekend. Funding- The corps will have a 50/50 drawing every weekend among membership. We will also do one at Bingo on Thursdays. This this has the potential of $750-1000 up to DCA. A private benefactor has agreed to match our funds( whatever amount is in the kitty). The minimum per recipient will be $500 but could be more. Anyone from this community wishing to contribute to the fund is welcome to do so.
