Gold will be there, they will probably be at Niles and Michigan City again like this past season.

I am curious about something, I'm in high school as marched last season in open class, I'm taking another stab at world class auditions, but I'm being cautious about it. I'm scared that if I can't get out of school early, I can't march my desired corps. Obviously, school trumps drum corps, as sad as that is. Would I get cut because of that. I would miss move ins and innovations in brass I think.

Well, I think that BDB SCVC and OC will be tough to beat, Spartans and Gold are also very close too. I've seen Golds program and I can very well say it has a lot of potential. They haven't been to any competitions yet, and with the new scoring system it's hard to say how they will do, but I expect great things from Gold 2012, great crowd pleasing show and should rock in Indy. I hope the corps with the best and cleanest show wins though.

Man! I can't take not knowing! I remember playing possible show material at one of the auditions. That was like masquerade but, I have no clue on what it could be

2008, the boxer is one obvious one
2010 and 2011 epic contra features! They make me quiver when I hear them.
2011 creep and just the entire closer.
Hope there is another stand out moment again this year

Woodwinds/Others marching corps!

I actually started as a woodwind. I played clarinet for 5 years and then started playing tuba in marching band to prepare myself for corps because I wanted to march. I ended up marching tuba this past season at Gold, and had a fantastic time becoming a better tuba player and marcher, now I am playing tuba full time because I have discovered a certain passion for it.
