I do appreciate minimalism, but INT's show is a tad too minimalistic.
Very very minimal

How can we not forget 27th Lancers Danny Boy with the enitre corps in a modified company front formation rotating to finally hit the climax of Danny Boy . Not sure of the years they did it best.
1975 my parents own that video cause they marched oakland, and danny boy in 75 is pretty rad.

Pto is phantom of the opera?

Yeah im thinking crown is my favourite right now... they have so much to do but i think its just there year... its time..... but ultimately that all depends on if they keep the good work up... percussion seems to be a bit dirty right now, especially when contrasted by how spectacular thier hornline is.
-
Yeah a sixty would have been quite a big drop if im correct
-
Hmm.. After the check in call I got tonight, I think Crown will open that margin back up.
Swamps happen.

Thunder did awesome. I was surprised they did a standstill. Can't wait to see the full product at DCA Championships in Annapolis!
When did tbt go senior?

A four corps show should not be allowed in the activity. 47 minutes for 25 dollars.
Well honestly with only what 22 corps left in world class, 4 corps shows are going to happen
... sad but true.... remember a time when there were like three, 7 corps shows a night... lol we dont even hsve a show in Canada anymore lol so sad ... we dont have the activity up here anymore.

I don't find it hateful at all. A good honest review - and fun to read.
It was a pleasant evening in Mesa. Great to hear brass and drums warming up as I got out of my car.
I was a little disappointed to see so many unfinished shows (3 out of the 4). Come on people, it's not June 14th - its June 20th!! Or is this the way drum corps is now?
Anyway... the 2012 season is off and running. Lets have some fun!!
Om glad someone else has brought this up.... im honestly flat out suprised that with this season starting in my opinion late, that so many are still infinished.

I don't understand this order. I'm not complaining, mind you, but how did BAC end up being on LAST in a show sponsored by BD??
Probably cause they went to so much troible doing thier move ins and first two weeks in bds back yard (not literally but in california).... its appreciation and kind of a respectful welcome if you will

The thread is called west coast, pretty sure no one implied cascades were from california let alone socal.

No.
Your right lol without seeing it i cant really assume anything. And now for something completely different

Explain?
I guess i just feel last years ending was something i had never seen from them... really original, circles they did at the ending ex in 98 also the did rotating circle sequences in both 96/97.. the fish how many years too many to count... its early they beef it up... just sounded like where theu jave been before was all i was saying really.
-
My bad kendrum... funny how it goes to show you that they have really played it more then anybody!
-
Btw, cadets ending, drill wise, consists of a Crown-sized " Crown", a religious fish, a circle, and a company front..
Cavies ending consisted of a company front that had rotation 5-person segments for about 20 measures that collaped into diagonals & (I think) another company front.
Anyone else think from this discription that the ending for cadets is a little been there, done that?

I always think 1983/ 1984 Cavaliers when I hear Pines of Rome. Boston should do well though
!
Im pretty sure por was 82 / 83 for cavies. They did it pretty well... cavies in the 80's didnt really leave the 70'till like 85 lol
-
Know 3 girls in this corps and they are all happy with move ins... mind you pines of rome will always get compared to star. Even phantom 98 had trouble with it.
