No worries, this is the type of situation the drum corps community rallies around. I'm guessing the Scouts will be drowning in food and assistance from other corps.
It's a strategy from other corps to get them so full of food they can't march or maybe slip them some tainted potato sald..........

If you're even remotely into auto racing, visit Indianapolis Motor Speedway. There is a museum there and although it's been a few years, we were able to purchase a pretty comprehensive tour that took us to many "backstage areas" inside the Pagoda, a ride around and actually allowed us to walk around on the track at the Finish Line (got a great picture of my wife "kissing the bricks", just like the race winners each year), into the pit areas and the Winners Circle.
Each year we've been there in the past, the Indiana State Fair has been running.
The first year when we were in Bloomington, we took a side trip one day to French Lick to visit a casino.
As I posted in another thread, if you're by the Speedway you should check out Mug-N Bun, Indy's oldest drive-in.

What about one my all time favorite bands- Talking Heads? Everyone I know adds "The" before their name, it's just a natural thing to do.
-
Of course they have a racetrack there that's worthy of touring in the morning, and then Mug n Bun for lunch- Indy's oldest & finest Drive-Inn restaurant. So good!

Reframed? Picture? Madison classics? Why not have the DM take the crowd picture again? It happened in 1997 and it's still mentioned to this day. Just thinking out loud.

Totally agree!!! Clean, clean, clean Scouts!!!
A clean Scout is a happy Scout! Don't forget to scrub behind the ears.............

Ha Ha, gotcha....Everyone knows that only the BD Food Truck staff have Bimmers and Mercedes!!! There should be no confusion here.
And by the way....just curious, did the Bumper Sticker say:
"Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps....
(Go ahead and key me......we're used to it!)"
I'll bet it said "I'd give the Blue Devils their props but they already have enough!"

Just watched MN show and I really like the tweaks at the end. The hornline movement looks like it can clean-up to something fun and the unison flag work is a real improvement from the early season spread out ending!
I like the hand on the hip during the last note, classic.

I just realized I never did this. Here's a short bio as far as music/marching related things go.
Hello! My name is Landry, I live in Canyon Texas in the Texas panhandle (90 miles north of Lubbock, 30 south of Amarillo, and around 4 1/2 to 5 hours away from Dallas). I graduated from Canyon High school this past May and am an incoming freshman Music Major at West Texas A&M University for this coming year. I played bass drum in marching season for all 4 years of high school, and was the captain for 3, as well as the drumline captain for 2 years. I have money set aside for an audition this coming fall, and I WILL be marching somewhere either on a bass line or front ensemble for the 2013 season. My favorite corps are the Blue Stars and Bluecoats. If you want to know anything else about me feel free to PM me!
Hello, I know exactly where Canyon is, we have friends that we visit every year that live in Hereford. I hope you achieve your goals!

I haven't seen any other mentions of "Slaughter on 10th Avenue." At one point, they play a tutti trill, but the melody that follows doesn't happen. I have to think this is an intentional reference, but maybe I'm listening too hard.
I love hearing the opening line of " Ice Castles" going into "The Way We Were", just flows beautifully!

Did anyone think it was strange to see the crowd standing for the company front-and rightfully so-then sitting down for the end of the final chord and standing again a few seconds later? How do you keep the crowd standing?

Yeah, DCI Midwest in Whitewater was blazing hot in '74, '76, '78, '79, '80, '81, '82, '83 and '84! (Rained in '75, and chilly in '77.)
Corps might actullay appreciate being "hosed " by the judges tonight!

any predictions on tonight's show? Has been three days since Bluecoats & Scouts were head to head.
There will be profuse sweating, both on the field and in the stands! I think gametime temperature will be around 100
