I don't know much about drumline battles, but man, I do know that the trailer for Suicide Squad is SICK!

could be a terrible spot. much more visual movement with on before them .
Yea, I definitely agree. I think one of the greatest things about most DCI shows is that the shows get better as the night progresses. Troopers will be a significant step down.

To answer the OP question ... Could the Cavies be missing out on_______?
I think the biggest thing the Cavies are missing out on is Michael Gaines.
Bringing ladies into the equation would change the identity and history of the corps. Member talent is not the problem. Design team changes need to be made. Brass seem to be headed in right direction, percussion always strong. Visually changes need to happen in both show design and guard.
As a designer they should see that.,,.the show NEEDS a pre show, like mad world did. It can set the stage maybe help explain concept of the show. The run boy run section would work much better if one individual was picked out and referenced by the singer. Then the boy can run run run when he tells him to run :) Maybe use one individual throughout the show to tie everything together. I think little changes/additions could drastically narrow the focus of the show and help the audience to understand better. (Hopefully I'm safe in assuming a new ending too)
Can somebody enlighten me on why Michael Gaines doesn't write for them anymore? and if he's permanently retired from writing for Drum Corps. I mean I imagine the paycheck is pretty good. Only reason I can think is that he doesn't think he can add any more to the activity.

I really like Crossmen's show this year. I think if they had this show last year, it would've solidly gotten 10th place. And if this is the new direction the Crossmen are going after their show designers first year ever doing this, then I can't wait to see more of them in the future!

Given the performance order for SA, the 6-8 range will be very interesting.
I see BK holding 6th and maybe even getting closer to 5th than they are right now.
The F**k is this s**t??

165 pages for this show!! Nice!

I can't get into the Blue Stars' show. And that conjoined guard bit is off putting.
I would agree. For all the talk that Crossmen have a BOAish show, I think Stars' show is a lot more BOAish

This is the first year where I wouldn't mind any of the top Four corps winning it all. I would say five, because I like SCV show, but I don't feel they have a realistic chance at winning.

I agree with all the comments above. This is a fine show being performed by fine kids.

... Uh no that goes to Bloo.
Bloo was last years

Seems like every year there is one corps that has by far the most homer-fans than any other corps. This year, that nod goes to the Boston Crusaders.

Crossmen's dead-last VA score helped with that.
Yea, who's this S. Sybliski joker?

In my opinion, that show about the big blue ball was the beginning of the new and improved BK.
I loved the opener, the rest was okay

Wow, just saw this show, and I've got to say, The hype surrounding this show is very much appropriate. I almost want to say that like the Blue Devils, their shows don't seem formulated (start out loud, then tone it down for a 3 minute ballad, and then blast it at the end). Now of course there are volume/style changes throughout their shows. and even in that order, but it doesn't feel that they follow that order. Hard to explain. I now do hope this show is recognized by both the fan and judging community. It's hard to believe that just a couple years ago, this is the corps that made a show about a big blue ball.

Would've liked to see how Crossmen would've scored at this competition. Almost had all of the 9th-13th place corps

My high so far this year is 11. Hosmer for me tonight. No double downs. Been playing since the start.
I always double down, my other pick tonight is Nelson Cruz
-
I'm not there. Those are from twitter. I am enjoying the Tigers beating the Indians though
I'm glad Kinsler singled. I'm playing 'Beat The Streak', and I picked him tonight.

I can tell you this. I got three words. I. Love. Pancakes.
Is anybody opposed to the idea of puting pop corn kernels inside of pancake batter so that we can have self-flipping pancakes?
I know I'm not.

I can honestly say that I already like this years show as is, more than last years finished product.

Surprised no one has posted this yet.

lets just say money isn't an issue, and heck I'd have headphones exclusive for DCI listening
-
I meant to ask this last summer but just really never got around to it.
With the season starting in a little bit, I really want to get opinions from people around here that use headphones when watching the fan network, and what they recommend gives justice to the performances.

I'm thinking about buying a yo-yo.
